If you think we're fine for midfielders but short for strikers then, sorry, but you are stupid.

Whilst on face value this is correct, Chaplin by his own admission, in an interview, stated that he's being asked to play in a different position to what he is used to by Martin and that he is adapting to that role. What position do you suggest this is?

He's going to be a very different player at 25 than he is at 18.

If you think we're fine for midfielders but short for strikers then, sorry, but you are stupid. we are playing essentially a 4-1-4-1 formation with masses of flexibility. of that attacking four the middle, call them what you will - 8 or 10 AM, CAM - we know page can play there, we know we are well stocked there, we are not light there, we are not short there, we are definitely not 'horrendously short' there. The deeper midfielder (6, DM - whatever) - we know page can play there, again, we not short in this position. I would hate to see page go but from both a numbers and talent point of view if he did it is the one area of the team where we are actually more than well-stocked. Your original point was that if page went we would be horrendously short - and i say again, this is wrong.

EDIT: I may be stupid - but it's pretty standard policy that in a 25 man squad, you have two players for each position - we easily have that, so, stupid, or not, me and, apparently, the manager are happy with that. Panicking because we only have 4 players who can play DM is absurd. 1

Skipp and Choudhury at 6, Braybrooke and Page at 8 and Chaplin, Cullen and BDCR at 10. Given what many on the forum are saying about how poor this league is then Mayer could play Braybrooke as a deep lying playmaker rather than Skipp as a DM.
