So weve had a fair number of friendlies now and it seems to be the young lads that are impressing.

For those that have been following the games - who looks most likely be involved in the first team in the league games?

Alves and Braybrooke to finally be first team players?

Gray’s lack of game time is a worry

I suppose he's currently 6th choice behind Nelson, Okoli, Faes, Souttar and Wilson Brown.

Issue for the manager not knowing who stays and goes.

I do worry about centre back. It's likely Faes, Souttar,Nelson and Okoli all leave and they've been the choices so far.

It's a tough situation for the manager.

Play them all. Crowd will get behind them, they will give their all, play without fear. We look like we have a great crop of youngsters. Cardiff got promoted with a young side, there's no reason why we can't.

Agree.  Id rather see our "kids" busting a gut and caring, even if they dont turn out to be good enough, than watch another season of "experienced pros" who dont want to be here and don't give a flying one.  Effort i can get behind.  Lazy uninterested mercenaries i can't

All don’t wanna be here unsure on TWB tho

its just nice seeing players that care and actually want to be here. Plus you know they’re giving it 100%

aware it’s bare minimum stuff but after the last few years it’s refreshing.

Hopefully have a squad that has the right blend of experience but also brave enough to trust these youngsters

After todays performance i hope we sell Souttar and i was a fan.

Looked like he gave zero shits and was defo at fault for one of the goals.

If there's something in the works then it's probably for the best that he doesn't exert himself cos he's made of rice paper. Though if he is indeed on the way to an expected exit then there's no real reason to play him in friendlies he won't be arsed in!

in his post match interview Martin mentions some will go back with the u21s & some will go on loan. Be interesting to see how that plays out.

Always expect the worst when it comes to this club sadly.

Wouldn't be surprised if a number of the young players who impressed yesterday don't get a proper lookout during the season in favour of the consistently disappointing experienced players and whoever we bring in this summer.

Aluko, Braybrooke, Alves, Joseph & Page are the ones nailed on to feature a lot IMO.

Evans, Otchere, Hutchinson, Neale, Carr, Ali & Gray are the ones for loans or u21s.

I suppose if they stay with the U21s that means they can be brought into the squad

Of those nailed on to feature only Aluko was on the pitch for those impressive last 20 minutes against a number of Malaga's first team.

Hutchinson, Neale and Carr (despite a poor finish that should have been a goal) showed they could cause issues for a team that is better man for man than those we will face next year. Otchere is our current top scorer and Evans is in theory the most talented of that group although he needs to show that with the first team.

Just seems that if we go into next season overlooking the players who have made this pre season so enjoyable things will go south very quickly. The exact same thing happened last season.

Martin’s track record with young players would suggest he’s far less likely to do that than Cifuentes.

I’d be absolutely fine with all of last years lot gone

hamza , Thomas , stol, Reid , mavididi , Okoli , skipp - they all still have the stench of that pathetic season on them - souttar and faes just about get away with it as injured and loaned but couldn’t give a monkeys if both move on as well

we need a fresh fresh fresh start and all of the above stink of overpayed charlatans

get rid of all of them asap and bring a few seasoned pros in around 80% of the young lads - and give us all something to really get behind

id rather be getting behind aluko , Nelson , neale, braybrooke , alves and a few others every week than the ones left from last season

Faes was responsible for us going 3-0 down by half time in consecutive games. He certainly played his part.

Have we ever done that at championship level before? We didn't do it last time we went down to league one.

I don’t see how many of the youngsters that have been on that camp can be loaned out until we get some business done. Ali at left back and Bausor in goal probably aren’t needed right now. The rest are needed and don’t really want them to go either.
