23k STH if you believe what they say but they released a further few hundred last week didn’t they? So have they really got that many?

 

Very optimistic if you think 3k away fans will be here, we are simply not a big draw, last season the away end rarely was full.

 

You might be looking at a lot of games with 1k to 1.5k in the away end at most.

I think at a lot of away fans will see Leicester as a big day out. That's not being arrogant, but it's a bit like us going to Anfield or Old Trafford when we were a new promoted club. Former Premier League Champions and a massive club in L1 will be a big draw for some away fans who will see this as a ground they want to attend IMO

It was 23,500 sold previously with less than 500 tickets that came available. 

 

It probably wont sell out every match, but there will also be alot of L1 fans who never thought they would get a day out at somewhere like Leicester..so it might surprise people at times as its almost the 'Cup final' A lot of the championship had recently played leicester as ex prem teams, or from two years before when we was down last.

 

The nearly 25k you quote there is over the half (16k) that I was replying to originally.

 

Ive added the averages from last season, which I'll admit is lower than I thought it would be.

If we start poorly then a lot won’t come on an away day as we could be here a while but if we fly out of the traps like we all wish for then they might see it as a one season chance to come.

 

Truth is none of us know and are just voicing our own opinions which is what forums are for.

 

Local teams you’d expect good following but Tuesday night in the depths of winter for away teams to tramp over half the country to get here, may be not.

I ran an exercise yesterday to compare we are right there in the mix depending on category of games. We have some of the lowest and highest prices. I built an algorithm that took all seats I could identify and on a distribution we are just on the mean but that is influenced by low prices for youngsters where we compare favourably. If you do just adults we are just above the median. Darts is incomplete as some clubs have not published prices for the season so obviously are going to apply dynamic pricing depending on how they are doing.

We will be a big day out for many, but I don't think we'll see many sold out away ends. 

 

A lot of teams have played us over recent years and a lot of the clubs at this level just won't have the numbers.

 

The only ones I think that will sell out are Sheff Weds, Barnsley, Mansfield, Notts County and Peterborough. The rest depends on how they're doing.

You make some good points at times but it's a bit tiresome what an apologist you've become for the club.

 

The season ticket numbers have collapsed. The waiting list was in its thousands. That's been completely wiped out and they ended up with a general sale for them. If that isn't a collapse I don't know what is. 

 

When they had such a demand for tickets, they treated fans with utter contempt. They made them pay £40 just to be able to buy tickets. Even games with 5,000+ empty seats had no general sale. The match prices stayed exactly the same for the first relegation to the Championship based on the fact they knew they'd get fans in regardless. 

 

Now of course all the offers will come back and they'll probably even be pay on the day. 

 

23,000 season ticket renewals is testament to the great support we have. But don't underestimate how many fans and more importantly potential fans they've lost in the last decade with their treatment of the fanbase.

There were claims that only 11k had renewed.

I'm no apologist for the club, just anindividual who is sick to death with constant negativity on here. Anything new and you all go into a fight to the bottom as to who can come up with the worst case scenario.

That and you all then calling out anyone who isn't as neagtive as KPFC.

The negativity is fully deserved. In fact I'd say it's gone nowhere near far enough. There should have been riots. There would have been at Leeds or Liverpool. 

 

I say that as literally the most positive fan you'd have found during the 00s and the shit we were served up then. At least that was just because we were shit. 

 

If you want positivity, you can follow the Ginettas maybe. Apparently we should just be grateful and our £530 million club is going to be just fine.

Things are more nuanced than positivity and negativity. 

 

I feel like Martin is genuinely sorting issues and there's at least hope we can return at first time of asking. 

 

But every time an article pops up about us it's a stark reminder that my club is a threat of extinction because of the actions of those still at the club. The catastrophic decline has had zero accountability. Sorry if I feel negative about that. 

 

And no, I have a season ticket and I'll be there supporting the players and manager. As I always do. But don't tell me how I should feel.
