Enzo's on record as saying when he met Leicester chairman and DoF, basically Top and Rudkin, they said we want to play like Man City. So it's not one or the other, both of them are clueless. Thats why we are here, we are run by 2 of the most stupid people in English football. Makes it all the more amazing with Rudkin, because he's been involved in the game for 30yrs.

Our wage bill was already obscene at this point. Multiple players on over £100k a week. 

 

In 2015/16 our wage bill was around £730k a week. In 2018/19 it had nearly doubled to about £1.3m a week.

 

For reference, our 2018 /19 wage bill was more than Crystal Palace's current wage bill and they've achieved everything we have in that same time. Only they're still a Premier League team and we're on the brink of oblivion.

 

Another is that we had more players on £50k a week or more last season than Sunderland who finished in Europe.

Not sure how people define a big club, or club our size, but those clubs mentioned only really spent a few seasons in League One and not a decade (in fact Blackburn only had the one season as they finished 2nd and bounced straight back).

 

Sunderland 5th 8th 4th 5th (promoted via play offs)

Leeds 5th 4th 2nd

Forest 7th 4th 2nd

Blackburn 2nd

 

Also just for conversation

Derby 7th 2nd

Southampton 7th 2nd

Norwich 1st

Wolves 1st

 

Can we even see us finishing top 6? I am quite worried we will spend longer than those clubs did at this level.
