Teeno Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 Seen him at the top of Welford road about 1.15 yesterday before the game, was standing there with his crutches so went to speak to him. Really top lad he is, spoke to me and me mate for a couple of minuites. He has an operation on firday (so fingers crossed for that). He said it wasn't bad as last time and He should be ok around May time. I cheekily asked him about his contract, he has another year left but he said he loves it heere and they're sorting out a longer one He thinks that we'll be class next season, He can't wait and think that Kelly is the dogs bollocks. Didn't want to come across as a stalker so I said goodbuy and carried on walking towards the pub as he waited for his lift of Richard Stearman.
Goddard Posted 19 February 2006 Posted 19 February 2006 pro footballer waiting on street corners for a lift off his 18 year old pro footballer mate only in leicester

I also spoke to Martin George near the ground, reckons he tried to get Kelly in as academy man a couple of years a ago but he didn't want it.

Teeno Posted 19 February 2006 Author Posted 19 February 2006 The future is bright, the future is Leicester City. Isn't that on the commentary on the 1995/96 season review?

SystonFox Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 how long did Stearman leave the poor lad waiting for? surely players / playing staff should be at the ground by say 11 - 12 if the kick off is at 3? i dont know but sounds like Dicky isnt so good on his time keeping. have a word Robbo!
Ric Flair Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 Excellent news! Destined for world dominance.
Strokes Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 Excellent news! Destined for world dominance. What Weso? or Leicester? hopfully Both
Ric Flair Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 What Weso? or Leicester? hopfully Both I'd like to say both but I was talking about Wesolowski. If any of you like a flutter, see if William Hill will do you odds on him being world player of the year by 2010.

Ric Flair Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 I hope he doesn't read this site.... not too much pressure Weso!! I've got to keep up my wild predictions about him, I remember over a year ago on here I was raving about him and said he'd be the best player at the club and people thought I was mentally disabled.
Babylon Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 people thought I was mentally disabled. I'll admit I was a little sceptical!!

The players get there an hour and a half beofre kick off on Matchdays. Except, when Matt Elliott was playing, without doubt every week he was late.
ithuriel Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 next season will be interesting. then again there isnt a season that goes by at lcfc that isnt.
steve_wilson101 Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 Can't wait, good young players coming through, a manager who knows what he's doing, a decent squad who haven started playing together again and hopefully a bit of money to spend over the summer. sounds like a recipe for success to me.

You forget about us losing the parachute payments....
andyh1884 Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 You forget about us losing the parachute payments.... Yeah, but the lucrative sponsorship of the fourth official's 'additional minutes board' announcement must cover that surely!
ithuriel Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 You forget about us losing the parachute payments.... but wasnt the decrease in squad size and wage reduction done to cover for this eventuality? unlike teams like leeds who now need to go up because they have gambled. a moot point but what was that stephen dawson like that left us last summer? just wondering if CL maybe cost us a good player or not.
drew Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 Dion and DeVries leaving will free up 10-15k a week, Joey was probably on 7-8 and wilcox 1-2. Thats a big chunk freed up to hang on to the youngsters coming through.
Louise Posted 20 February 2006 Posted 20 February 2006 a moot point but what was that stephen dawson like that left us last summer? just wondering if CL maybe cost us a good player or not. Why was it Levein's fault that Dawson left? He offered him a new contract.
