Louise Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Then again if your going to owe money to any one it may as well be the person who owns 100% of the club. It's not like he can serve a winding up order on himself is it? And we do need to do something otherwise we will be pottering around in the Championship for the next five or six year min. Could sell players, training ground and the like to get his money back? I think I did have a bit of a smilie over-reaction at the word debt, as I did know all along it would be a loan, but the idea of having that much debt worried me. And no doubt it'll worry the board as well, who will probably turn down MM because of it (and the fact that he's offering less than 5m for 6.6m worth of shares). Really, what I want (like everyone) is some proper news, which I'm sure we'll not get for a while. I want to know who the other investors are? Is it Bardon? Tigers? Who are the Americans who seem to have faded into the background? (were they actually serious investors anyway?)... it's getting annoying now and it's only a few days in!
The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Mine and Disco Bob's bid has stalled after HSBC said they'd lend us £4,500 and that was it. We approached the board and they told us to fu ck off with the big Serbian prickster. Dunno what they were getting at though.
Swedging Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Indeed, I think it's the way Swedging has worded his post. If he had say, "Milan Manadaric will give us 20 million pounds, which he will want back when we get promoted" every one would be shouting horah. Loan is a very scary word espically to supporters of this club. Well, I did do it deliberately. There are normally 2 ways of putting money in - by means of a loan or by increasing the equity stake. The first increases the risk for the club, the second decreases it. Mandaric's people have slyly used the terms 'investment' and 'offer' seemingly to disguise the differences - and it seems that most people, journalists especially, have not questioned which it is. A loan's not necessarily bad, or wrong. It depends on the terms, really.

Babylon Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 If you were too, what would be the sort of genre of music you'd do? I think i'd go for some 80's electro pop... A bit like Vienna by ultravox. But with the words changed to "Oooooooooohhhhhh Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllaaaaaaaaannnnn"
bald reynard Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Because we have in depth knowledge of what is happening currently it has been difficult to comment in the last few days. We don't know who the poster below is, all we suggest is that you listen to him rather more than the media circus which seems to have MM conducting them at present We will make a full comment as soon as we are able, as we have to act in the best long term interests of the club & the fans and therefore keep cards close to the chest while more than one party is interested in taking the club forward. So Foxes Trust are 'endorsing' what Swedging says (they can't say anything, because of confidentiality rules) - which means that what he says, is what FT say - and by extension (because they are represented on the Board and so are privy to Board discussions on MM's bid), what the prevailing view of the Board is. In other words, £25m is NOT what the bid 'on the table is' (its being 'hyped up' by MM's advisers) and the Board doubts that he has anything like £25m to buy the club. It sounds to me like they are NOT going to accept his offer - whatever it is !!
Master Fox Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 So The Foxes Trust have basically told us that Swedging is telling the truth, which means that Mandaric will not be coming as the bid will be rejected because quite frankly that bid sounds too dodgy for our shareholders to agree too. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. The dreams are shattered once more. It's unbelievable. Dodgy or not what choice do we have? I think I might just give up supporting Leicester
davieG Posted 3 November 2006 Author Posted 3 November 2006 It's unbelievable. Dodgy or not what choice do we have? I think I might just give up supporting Leicester But you'd still post here wouldn't you, please?
Surreal Madrid Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Its probably quite a good deal, I imagine that the books aren't in the black, probably in the red. You don't get anything in this game for two in the bed. SO he's prob takin on the clubs working debt as well as the stadium. The club's assets exceed it's liabilities by a few million,

This is the kind of sneakeary I though he would get up to after spending awhile playing the media game, get the desperate fans onside (which face wasn't that hard we had it in for the board long before Milan turned up) they will put pressure on the board to sell up, in effect use the suppourters to flease the board for a million or two. If they turn down the offer the fans go nuts that the board have turned the offer down because it's 1.6 mil short, a very small sum of money in football takeover terms.
Master Fox Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 But you'd still post here wouldn't you, please? No. Because of you I support Chelsea. Anyone know the Chelsea fans board? Please? I can't take much more of this Leicester bollox
The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Right, the beastie boys has finished, what goes on next on the MM fun bus? And is anyone else getting on or is it just me, Fezz and the Flairmeister.

Manwell Pablo Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Right, the beastie boys has finished, what goes on next on the MM fun bus? And is anyone else getting on or is it just me, Fezz and the Flairmeister. How much is the fare, who is driving, do the seats recline.
chili_con_carne Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 So whats the situation at the moment with the Mandaric bid? (Cant be arsed to read the whole thread)
disheartened fan Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 this is from another message board, is it a joke? Our Organisation the ISA rightly so praise the board for making an attractive propistion however, as REAL supporter we have the clubs interest at heart and grateful Mr Mandaric has made a bid however with our knowledge and guil and the leadership of MR LANCE TOMLIN and his consortium we believe our manifest and proposal will offer a second to none propistion to both supporter and the Championship we will be at Hilsborough United as the ISA and we will make sure that Lance and Carlsberg recieve the support to lead us and the rightful chief exec to the boardroom. It has been brought to our attention that there was a slur against the supporters club and there leader cliff ginetta, we would like to go on record and state that we are not the people whom made these allegations and nor do we condone them. We as the ISA would like to phase out the LCFC supporters club and make a charter and make the ISA the one voice of Leicester City and to be lead by Lance over the coming years. The ISA and LANCE TOMLIN recognise the stirling work done by the club and the money invested however feel it is now time for the current shareholders and the foxes trust to stand down and let the big boys and the true heart beat of the club take LCFC into the new era, and lead your club to the premiership. No one wanted to touch the club three years ago and now with 3/4 proposal feel that ours is the one to take the club forward. We have plans and designs and list of targets and players and Lance has made these clear to who he wants and who he doesnt want. Quote Lance "I have supported this club for many years and making changes for the better, and restructuring the playing staff the various organisations and making them redundant and having one voice of the club, Lance will make the penultamate decisions and this is one we all unite as the ISA" "The ISA is the future the ISA is the way forward we pledge you a debt free club and also we look forward to giving you LANCE the voice and soul of LCFC" ISA
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Never trust a bloke called Lance. Or one who spells his name in captials. Or one who talks utter shite. Sorry Lance.
The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 How much is the fare, who is driving, do the seats recline. Fare. It's free. So long as you pledge allegiance to the cause and understand we'll be getting an investor if anything and not a benefactor. Driving? Sh it. Who IS driving? The seats do recline. But please, no sex on the bus.
Babylon Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 this is from another message board, is it a joke? ISA Sounds like crud to me.

Swedging Posted 3 November 2006 Posted 3 November 2006 Lance Tomlin took home the award for academic achievement and course work, excellent kitchen hygiene standards and exemplary attendance. But later, perhaps: Lance Tomlin, 42, was charged with reckless driving for allegedly ramming another vehicle twice Sunday night. Police said the arrest came after Tomlin struck the rear of another vehicle in the 1700 block of Massachusetts Street, and then again when the other car stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of 19th and Massachusetts streets. Tomlin apparently was upset because the other driver allegedly turned in front of him. When the first vehicle stopped at the intersection, both drivers exited their vehicles to confront one another, police said. Police responded to the accident and arrested Tomlin, who later was released from Douglas County Jail
