lcfc_sam_p Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 I've seen him play in the prem and has had some very good games. I remember liverpool last season vs wolves at anfield and he was probably man of the match. The few wolves fans I know rate him too. Too good for the championship IMO.
jonthefox Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Where have all the posters on the first page gone?.

Houdini Logic Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 And people were moaning in the summer about only having players like Nugent and Vassell up front, and saying that Yakubu isn't good enough Sometimes we need to not let our memories be so short term... Also, to think players like Sheehan refused to sign a new contract for us..... mugs....

A club like us shouldn't have to think itself lucky that it doesn't have Sylla and Hammond in the squad.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 I know, and I find it very weird. He is no where near Prem standard imo. On MOTD he always seems to be in the highlights getting skinned or giving the ball away. That is more or less word for word what I was going to post when I started reading the thread! If the MOTD highlights are anything to go by he costs Wolves at least a goal a game!

Knew who u were both on about before even Reading who it was literally every game I see him being teared a new one. His shorts Are constantly down! Haa
Bugg Posted 4 October 2011 Posted 4 October 2011 Levi Porter God was he shit ...Thracian posting incoming about how he could have been one of the world's greatest...
OzFox Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 That season was so poor I remember being almost relieved to get some entertainment from this game. Mainly thanks to two fantastic goals from Wednesday
Donut Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Trying to get back into the premiership with a shrinking budget and demands to reduce the wage bill were impossible tasks that Levein and Kelly were burdened with.
Corky Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Crap performance at home, which seemed to be the norm back then.
Schlupp Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Tbf when you've got a sqaud like that you realise how much a good job Pearson did./
Guest Bilo Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 We were beyond bad back then weren't we? Christ on a bike.
Guest Bilo Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=509 Found this beauty from the first ever league match covered on FT. How the fvck were we bookies' favourites?
Fox92 Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Sylla was one of the worst players I've seen. I can always remember getting his autograph once and my pen run out. He said 'oh, your pen has run out' and my dad said 'yeah, so have your legs'. Looking back, although it was sad, relegation was good really. I couldn't imagine fighting for 17th/18th/19th place every season now, like we used to. We all did attend some dreadful matches.

We had very few matches where you came away and said "yeah, we were entertaining today". In that season I think the Coventry match at home (3-0) and possibly Southampton (3-2). Last season wasn't vintage by any means but we had some cracking football at the Walkers.
OzFox Posted 6 October 2011 Posted 6 October 2011 Last season was raining goals compared to most of the matches in the mid Noughties. I could quite cheerfully have slashed my wrists in some of them, even those that we were winning. Another game against Wednesday springs to mind...think we won 2-0....would have to be one of the worst I've seen in terms of entertainment

In that season I think the Coventry match at home (3-0) and possibly Southampton (3-2). Yeah, true. The most entertaining match that I went to throughout the 07/08 season, was most probably an away match - which says it all. But it was fantastic; West Brom 1-4 Leicester!! What a day that was in the West Midlands. Norwich 3 Leicester 1, 28th Nov 2006 Was that when Earnshaw scored a hat trick? He always seems to score against us. I remember one of the last home matches of the season, we lost something like 1-4 to Wolves at home. McAuley scored an own goal.
