Manwell Pablo Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 For all your non LCFC news and rumour needs. Spurs have signed 17 year old Adel Taarabt from Lens on loan with a view to a permanent, don't actually know much about this kid, he's got a girls name though. Moses Ashikodi has gone Watford, just what they need. And what I thought was a bit of a shocker (not that most of you will care) Sevilla have bought Alexander Kerzhakov, bit of a strange one seeing as Kanoute and Fabiano can't stop scoreing at the minute.
Finnegan Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Let's start the official Where Is Earnie Going? sweepstake! edit: Bale to Real Madrid? Ho ho ho!
Milky Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Boston sell striker Anthony Elding to Stockport for a five-figure sum.
MC Prussian Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 American International Patrick Dempsey to join Fulham. SI.com story
Nationwider Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 sunderland sign carlos edwards for 1.4m Great signing. With Johnny Evans and (possibly) Phil Bardsley joining too, they are building up some momentum at just the right time. I'm tempted by Sunderland's promotion odds of 5-1, tbh.
Stuliasz Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Confirmed signings should be listed in the first thread of this post for convenience I reckon.
Leicester's 12th Man Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Ben Alnwick Sunderland to Tottenham for £900,000 & Martin Fulop goes the other way for £500,000 Carlos Edwards has left Luton to go to Sunderland for £1.5m
Wilkesy Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Most notable signing: Akinbadbuy is back in the Championship and he will score against us
Joe. Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Sunderland are always really busy in the transfer window. They'll probably have a whole new squad come end of January.

filbertway Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Why didn't Spurs just pay £400k? That's what I was wondering?
shen Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 That's what I was wondering? Maybe the deal is just a tad more complicated e.g. payments due from either club's success in Europe or the League, installments etc.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 January 2007 Author Posted 3 January 2007 Desperate Dennis Wise is looking to sort out his incredibly poor Leeds side by signing Lutons Dean Morgan apparently. Morgans our of contract in the summer, no fee mentioned as of yet. The Poison Dwarf will also be hoping that something comes off St Etienne reject Abdelaziz Kamara's trial at Elland Road. Well Ken Bates certainly looks like Santa Claus but it doesn't look like Wise has had much in the way of presents this year. Oh and there are rumours surfacing that Ribbery is going to Real Madrid.
Joe. Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 American defender Oguchi Onyewu is believed to be closing in on a move to Premiership club Fulham. The Cottagers already have a strong USA contingent with Carlos Bocanegra and Brian McBride in their ranks and they now look set to add to that. New England Revolution winger Clint Dempsey is awaiting a work-permit for his move to the Premiership and fellow countryman Onyewu looks set to follow. Onyewu saw a summer move to England collapse when Middlesbrough pulled the plug on a post World Cup deal, but Fulham always maintained an interest in the 24-year-old and they have now made their move. Standard Liege made an agreement with Onyewu in August that they would not stand in his way during this transfer window after a bid from Real Madrid was snubbed because it came too late for them to find a replacement. A new bid from the Spanish giants has failed to materialise and Fulham now look set to seal a deal for the central defender known as 'Gooch'. "I know the agreement which we made in August with Gooch, as I was the technical director," coach Michael Preud'homme told HLN. Onyewu is now reported to be undergoing a medical in West London with a view to sealing a move to Craven Cottage in the near future. He can't be that bad if Madrid were after him. Would probably be a good signing for Fulham. Their defence isn't too good to say the least.

filbertway Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 He aint a Portuuguese international he playe for Mozambique, tut tut whoever wrote that. If one of his nationalities is portuguese and he is an international player, then technically, they're not wrong
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 January 2007 Author Posted 3 January 2007 If one of his nationalities is portuguese and he is an international player, then technically, they're not wrong It's still sloppy journalisem, very misleading.
Leicester Lass Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Leeds boss Dennis Wise has strengthened his attack with the signing of former Chelsea team-mate Tore Andre Flo. On the 3rd of January 2006, Leeds United confirmed their signing of Flo, with a contract lasting till the end of the 2006/2007 championship season. The contract had the option of extending further into the future. It is likely that manager Dennis Wise was one of the main influences of attracting Flo as they used to be team mates at Chelsea.
Brummie-FOX Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 How can Leeds be signing everybody? They have all this debt and can sign anybody easily
Leicester Lass Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 Apparently he's putting 10million of his OWN cash into the club as well Now apparently not
