Leicester's 12th Man Posted 1 January 2007 Posted 1 January 2007 A mate has told me Douglas is off to link up with Levein, any truth?
lookwhaticando Posted 1 January 2007 Posted 1 January 2007 A mate has told me Douglas is off to link up with Levein, any truth? He can have him for 5k. That'd free up a couple of grand a week in wages.
Brummie-FOX Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Leicester city are set to sign coventry young lad kevin thornton for 150k due to him falling out with manager micky adams.leicester city will also look to sign hasselbaink on loan, knopper for 750k j.loyd samuel for 500k and stephen pearson in an exchange for stephen hughes and 400k.this is set to happen when mandaric takes over the club on the 15th of jan and rob kelly looks to loan lee hendrie, sign hughes of charlton and ylvain ebanks blake but fails. Doesn't sound right, but it's from football rumours
JoeyB Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 it sounds promising. aliadire from arsenall would be a mint signing
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Doesn't sound right, but it's from football rumours Just sounds like a list of all the suggestions on this website to me. Football rumours is just garbage it shouldn't exist.
Collymore Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 I've been told twice by my Carlisle supporting friend that there are whispers up his end that a deal is trying to be done.
Master Fox Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Well i wouldn't be too upset if Fryatt were to leave. Don't know what KH is like as a player but he can't be any worse than who we've got at the moment.
Stevosevic Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 source? if someone who isnt a moderator posted this it would be deleted

Master Fox Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Iv'e seen him play a few times, looked better than the level he was at (conference and league 2) Worth a punt then ?
Collymore Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Worth a punt then ? Oh yeah sorry for starting a new thread I personally like Fryatt and think that R Kelly might be the barrier between him and hitting form. If he's not enjoying life at Leicester then maybe it's the best thing for all. As for Hawley, He was on fire one season hitting about 30 goals and he has got 10 this season. Something tells me that a world class striker would have trouble scoring goals for us at the moment. It's the midfield that needs an overhaul.
Collymore Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 source? if someone who isnt a moderator posted this it would be deleted Well it's the first time i've ever visited this thread which would probably tell you that I don't normally like rumours. Saying that I trust my source and know that this has more foundation than most of the rumours sprouted around! ...and if someone who wasn't a moderator had posted that exactly the same would have happened and it would have been moved into the rumours thread so stop moaning.

mancunianfox Posted 2 January 2007 Posted 2 January 2007 Richard Knopper wouldn't be a bad signing. Scored goals from midfield at Ajax, Aris and Arnheim. Still prefer the rumour of around late November/early December of Alexey Smertin but I really doubt that would happen.
mancunianfox Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 More nonsense from football rumours: Leicester City News Milan Mandaric will take over LCFC as of the 16th Jan. He will give Kelly a transfer budget in the region of 2mil. Its reported that Kelly will bring in three players during the window: Carlos Edwards - £1.1 mil Stephan Pearson - £850, 000 Carlton Cole - loan till end of season John Hartson is being tracked by both Cardiff and Leicester for around £500, 000. Mowbray doesn't see Hartson as part of his long term plans and is looking to cash in. It is thought Hartson would prefer the move to Leicester rather than Cardiff, as he is a lifelong Swansea fan Carlos Edwards is not even on the market anymore. Idiots.

THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 My father is an executive for a large construction company and rumour is Tim Davies plots to purchase lots of lots of blue bricks to build a feature outside the Walkers to celebrate the Milan takeover. Apparently the idea was spurred by Leicester Mercury Sports collumnist Bill Anderson. Timmy and Bill aim to build a celebratory shrine-like-wall, 'The Milan-ium' the word!!! which will stand aloft and look over the streets of Leicester with pride. Apparently for 250 quid, fans can buy their own brick with their name carved into it with a stanley knife, included in the price is a free gym membership for any sports center in Burgerac. I'm excited......
London_Fox Posted 3 January 2007 Posted 3 January 2007 The closer we get to the MM deal the more rumours will fly round and chances are that when Clubcall and Football Rumours finishing naming everyone who might possibly move on, be loaned out, be unhappy, be considering retirment, be having a good season in a league or two below us, be having a bad season in the premiership or is an ex-player then they'll get a few right. As for now it's all fun and games with only one serious problem attached to it...RK is so short of ideas he might use this thread to look for new players.
mancunianfox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Even more rumours from that site again. A friend was talking to an ex no nonsense Leicester defender at a recent Leicester match and heard the following rumours. The Manadric deal will go through in the next 2 weeks and the following players have been lined up. J Lloyd-Samuel and Lee Hendrie from Villa in exchange for Stearman plus cash. John Hartson from WBA. Parker from Blackpool. 2 loan players from Holland where the ex Leicester defender has been coaching. Wes Morgan from Forest. Several players have also been lined up for moves away from the club. Hughes to Scotland Douglas to have his contract paid up. Danny Tiatto is wanted by Stoke but could return to Oz. Momo Syllla to Dundee U with ex boss Levein. And More... Former Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington is being lined up by Milan Mandaric as the new boss of Leicester City.
