THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Even more rumours from that site again. A friend was talking to an ex no nonsense Leicester defender at a recent Leicester match and heard the following rumours. The Manadric deal will go through in the next 2 weeks and the following players have been lined up. J Lloyd-Samuel and Lee Hendrie from Villa in exchange for Stearman plus cash. John Hartson from WBA. Parker from Blackpool. 2 loan players from Holland where the ex Leicester defender has been coaching. Wes Morgan from Forest. Several players have also been lined up for moves away from the club. Hughes to Scotland Douglas to have his contract paid up. Danny Tiatto is wanted by Stoke but could return to Oz. Momo Syllla to Dundee U with ex boss Levein. And More... Former Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington is being lined up by Milan Mandaric as the new boss of Leicester City. ....I really dislike Nigel Worthington, he's such a tepid little creature!
surrifox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 so let's get this right. RK signs 4 or 5 players using the transfer funds and is then kicked out and replaced by the new manager who has to work with the players RK signed. Or , the new manager is already working on the new signings and selling the existing players in anticipation of getting the job and the players are quite happy to commit on this basis. Sounds plausible to me...

Brummie-FOX Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 The rumour about J lloyd Samuel seems to be pretty big. It's not the first time it's been mentioned.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 just looked at this site: http://www.zoustos.com/leagues.asp?CID=1&a...;RID=&TID=5 keigan parker has got 9 goals for blackpool, take it hes a striker then. izale has got 16 now!! not bad but clayton donaldson plays for york and has scored 15 for york!!!!!!! blimey i hope it werent a city fan who posted that on the rumours site. they need shooting. CM. lazy one at that.
Geo V Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Izale McLeod would be a great signing as would J`Lloyd Samuel IMO so lets hope those two have some merit behind the rumours. I`m getting worried about these rumours on Iain Dowie though. Hull appointed a manager today and the rumour mill is gathering on Dowie taking over when MM takes charge. Ive got no problem with him as a tactician or coach but some of the signings he made for Charlton were Peter Tayloresque.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Former Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington is being lined up by Milan Mandaric as the new boss of Leicester City. HaHa. Just HaHa. Worthington bandwagon, anyone?
Geo V Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Collins John has been mentioned as a potential signing but Watford have just accepted an offer from a Premiership club so that ends that hope.

Peter Taylor and Les Reed, 2 poster boys for the FA and their coaching mantra and neither can pick a player to save his life. Dowie did sign those players (he was the manager) but it was the great Les Reed that provided the seal of approval and recommendations.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 HaHa. Just HaHa. Worthington bandwagon, anyone? You and your bandwagons... With all those rumours flying around, we could do another bloody pioneer trip, this time Eastbound.

Now the rumour has appeared for real, I just gotta get 'er started.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Rumour has it, Milan Mandaric has been a city fan for quite some time.
Unit Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Rumour has it, Milan Mandaric has been a city fan for quite some time. OH MY GOD
breadandcheese Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Rumour has it, Milan Mandaric has been a city fan for quite some time. Good old Scott Taylor. He looked a great player and then just disappeared. I remember he got injured but where did he go after us?
mancunianfox Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 This rumour seems to be turning up in a few places now - Fryatt short term loan to Walsall.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 With the spare £100,000 could we make a 'cheeky' loan bid for Richard Chaplow at West Brom for the midfield or even Jamal Campbell-Ryce as he is a right winger?????
Mort Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 This rumour seems to be turning up in a few places now - Fryatt short term loan to Walsall. Might help his fitness... but I'd have thought its only a possibility if the MM deal comes through and we get a striker in on loan.

What spare £100k is that? It ain't £100K We need some of it to pay for Cadamarteri, Welsh's return only part pays his costs. The rest will be used to make up any shortfall in general income
bold_fox Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 This annoys me. We're looking add signing average players on loan, when Peterborough can make some really impressive signings. How can Posh have that sort of cash ! http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...lash+out+on+Low

How can Posh have that sort of cash ! http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...lash+out+on+Low They have an owner who's throwing money about, good luck to them. George Boyd is a great signing for them. I think he's got what it takes to be a top quality player in a few years.
Geo V Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Its pointless trying to analyse why certain bigger or smaller clubs are able to spend more money than us AT THE MOMENT. We are what we are right now but we could easily be a club that spends 7 figure sums on players in the future. Lets hope that future is soon!!
Guest Gist Posted 5 January 2007 Posted 5 January 2007 Just seen in the Mirror that Coventry have turned down the chance to get Darren Currie from Ipswich for £70,000. Maybe worth a look he has always looked good when I've seen him play and he is a right winger.
