renards Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Played a good 'on pitch' coaching roll when playing in the reserves Never shut up and all good stuff But one goalkeeping oriented coach is enough
Master Fox Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 cometh the hour cometh the De Vries?!!! Doors there big lad! Oh how I hope you're right! But on a personal note I would like to say that I'm deeply saddened by the departure of Momo Sylla. He was a great player and has been a fantastic servant to the club over our unforgettable 3.5 year dire period. Thanks for your contribution Momo, you were great.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 I like this squad trimming. Three useless wingers gone; must be getting one in? Hope it's Jamal Campbell-Ryce, but I bet it's not !! Also gutted that we missed out on Peter Whittingham at the Villa as I think he operates on the right???
AyewJoking Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Whats the betting he joins Derby and helps get them promoted?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Wouldn't mind Kevin Harper you know. He isn't useless and can play a bit
Graz Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Hope it's Jamal Campbell-Ryce, but I bet it's not !! Also gutted that we missed out on Peter Whittingham at the Villa as I think he operates on the right??? I always thought he played left or centre? At least that's what Football Manager always told me Still, good player and I'm gutted we missed out too, esp. for £300,000 odd.
Geo V Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Hope it's Jamal Campbell-Ryce, but I bet it's not !! Also gutted that we missed out on Peter Whittingham at the Villa as I think he operates on the right??? Yeah that was a kick in the teeth as Whittingham is the type of player we should be going for (BTW he plays on the left), like the other two Derby got with Pearson from Celtic and now Wigans Gary Teale who signed today. Whats really cheesing me off with these signings is not only are they going to the Rams but the fact that they are costing around the £500k mark "only". Although its difficult to type the follwoing words, I reckon the shaggers of sheep will now be in a strong possie to go up, especially as they also splashed out on that Jones kid from Manure
act smiley Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Whittingham went to Cardiff for £350k, not to Derby. I agree though in that him and Pearson etc. are the type of players to go for and that Derby are looking worryingly strong.
The People's Hero Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Well, there goes our best right winger. I hope we've got something up our sleeves. Knowing RK, I doubt it.
Dr The Singh Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Well, there goes our best right winger. I hope we've got something up our sleeves. Knowing RK, I doubt it. I'm waiting for Josh Low MKII!!
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Well, there goes our best right winger. I hope we've got something up our sleeves. Knowing RK, I doubt it. Fat Darren Currie from Ipswich no doubt.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 I'm waiting for Josh Low MKII!! Sylla was JL Mk.II. A slightly improved model. Still a lazy winger, though. Hopefully the third iteration of a right-winger will have pace, skill and some bloody desire to actually make stuff happen.

lookwhaticando Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 except sylla signed 1st so that would make low MS Mk.II. Either way... That case is far worse, in fact. It means not only did the manufacturer of right wingers fail to improve his initial model, he actually managed to make it 10x worse. Doesn't bode well for our third choice... I fear for Gradel if he's the next in line for the right wing position...
Master Fox Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 No! Momooooo!!!! It's too late Libs, he's gone there's nothing you can do!
Leicester Lass Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Our 2 best players gone in the transfer window. Disgusting.
lookwhaticando Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Am I missing something here? Or are you pair missing something?
Master Fox Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Am I missing something here? Or are you pair missing something? I'm missing a pair of melons
Sods Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Good news to see that kelly will now definately have to get a right winger. Haven't had a deent right sided midfielder in ages. Thanks momo you allways tried your best!
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 I did like Momo but I guess his time with the club was up. Pity he didn't put more of an effort in all the time but he did look okay this season. All this activity is making me all excited about what players might be coming in!

TAFKA Castroneves Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Yep, but this is a definate sign that something's about to happen, like Mandaric being confirmed and Kelly going on a massive spend
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 January 2007 Posted 11 January 2007 Fat Darren Currie from Ipswich no doubt. knowing Kelly I think Matty Hamshaw from Mansfield is more likely
