BartonFox Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 The platinum memory which one is it, seeing as that is all we will have soon? Me - Steve Claridge's winner against Crystal Palace, nothing has ever been that dramatic.
lookwhaticando Posted 25 January 2007 Posted 25 January 2007 A little extreme, no? I know, I know... the current board are clueless, without Mandaric we're done for etc etc. But still... FoxesTalk will be around for a short time after, should the club go under... we could always post them then.
Geo V Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 I thought I was hacked off but not even I am that bad! Where the fook is Nostradamus when you need him? This great club have giving me so many great memories over the years and picking one is almost impossible but i`ll try. I`ll go for winning the League Cup in 1997. That day I was beaming with pride not only for winning our first major trophy in years and thinking about European football for the first time in my adult life, but the fact that we had what was on paper, a pretty poor team bar a few against Middlesboro`s mega stars. Here are the line-ups.... Keller, Grayson, Whitlow, Walsh, Izzet, Lennon, Claridge, Parker, Heskey, Kaamark, Prior Schwarzer, Cox, Pearson, Emerson, Mustoe, Beck, Juninho Paulista, Ravanelli, Fleming, Festa, Hignett
The People's Hero Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 It's a bizarre choice but I think my best memory, having not made it to any finals, was Dion Dublin scoring the winner in the cup at Charlton. We were so rubbish then and I hated Levein but boy was I proud of the lads that day.
mat_j101 Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 The one that stand out best in my memory was when we beat Derby in the Play-off's in 1994, and then on the journey on the way back from Wembley, someone had hung a sign from one of the bridges on the motorway that said............ SILENCE OF THE RAMS I loved it, made me laugh the rest of the journey home. In ya face sheepshaggers!
Ric Flair Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 The game that marked the end of Leicester City. Leicester City 5-2 Sunderland Heskey left a few days later. O'Neill left a few months later. Lennon left a few months later. Taylor left a year and a few months too late. Bassett tried but failed. Adams tried but failed. The board failed. Levein failed. Kelly tried but was out of his depth. The fans still turned up in their droves and although the atmosphere was poor at times, in terms of numbers our support has been remarkable. Now we'll all be left to go our seperate ways no doubt as the club demises in to oblivion. It's been fun lads and lasses, it's been emotional. Taddah.

James. Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 memories - first time at wembley for THAT play off final against Swindon, being in the double decker for the 3-3 game against arsenal (one of the best games i've ever seen) and more recently being amongst the amazing supporters at the fulham game. we didn't actually win any of those games, sums it up really. new club - well, my closest is milwall. bollocks.

hairy Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 The platinum memory which one is it, seeing as that is all we will have soon? Me - Steve Claridge's winner against Crystal Palace, nothing has ever been that dramatic. My memory too. I cried like a baby (from shear joy) after the tension of the previous 120 minutes when that goal went in. I thought Spider was going to throw it all away for us. What a relief.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 3-3 V Arsenal (Berkamp Hat-trick)?????

Steven Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 Maidstone Utd it is then. I can't even do that as my local team sold the football pitches to developers.
Webbo Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 would have to be the final whistle at hillsborough against middlesborough. all my life i thought that we'd never win anything.
potter3 Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 Interestingly all FA Cup games, due to the small timepspan since I started going regularly:- -Charlton Away -Fulham Away -And Spurs at home.
Leonisco Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 The earliest memory of a City game I really have is the 2000 Wortho Cup Final at Wembley v Tranmere, which is definitely up there with my best memories, alongside Villa and both Fulham games this season (even though we lost ) and beating Reading with a last-minute winner in the cup a couple of years ago. But my favourite's got to be when MDV scored THAT goal against Spurs last year. Magic.
evan Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 would have to be the final whistle at hillsborough against middlesborough. all my life i thought that we'd never win anything. one of my favourites was when Steve Thompson rolled in the equaliser against Swindon in the Play of Final... just a brilliantly taken goal. one of the others is Joachim's goal versus Barnsley in the cup and Heskey's versus Bumburn in the prem when he ran the whole half and tw@tted it into the roof of the net class
Vestan Pance Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 Best Hammering Derby away (can't remember the year) Play-off semi 5-0 Cambridge Arsenal 3-3 Tony James Great escape Watford away to reach the play-offs Worst 10 point deduction for admin 2007

Wils Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 Dublin's winner at Charlton always sticks along with Scowcrofts winner at Reading. But Clairadge against Palace will take some beating for a while yet.
vanfox12 Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 I've got three lasting memories of City. 1) Walshy's winner against the Sheepshaggers at Wembley. 2)Walshy's dramatic equaliser against Arsenal (3-3 draw in 1997) 3)Claridges shinned in Volley against Palace at Wembley.

I don't think I would have swapped that day for any other cups and all! Just to beat those shagger kernts at wembley after being written off, happiest day of my life and I can repeat that to any shaggers that i come across anytime of my life which i did very recently
the_bowman Posted 26 January 2007 Posted 26 January 2007 As I haven't been following Leicester seriously for long, it would have to be the last match I went to. I've only ever been to 4 matches - Filbert Street 1-1 Wimbledon Walkers 2-3 Tottenham Walkers this season 2-2 Crystal Palace and my fave Walkers this season 2-0 Barnsley. But anyway I've blabbed on for too long, like I said I've always been a Leicester fan, but not proper serious till about 6 months ago So yes, as a memory it has to be 2-0 win over Barnsley
