More trouble at leeds

i don't doubt that Wise may be correct to sack the player , but the mere fact that it is hypocritical of Wise to consider it more of an offence to leak a team line up, than break a team mates jaw;

ie. if Wise considered he had a good case to sue LCFC then this player cannot be denied the same rights (as it does seem to most people a less sackable offence)

its just the hypocracy of the situation nothing more

How can you sue him for not playing the player?

It's his decision as manager, he is not contractually obliged to pick the player in the first XI.

If the player is sacked, you might have a point, depending on whether the evident misconduct is ajudged to be a justifiable sacking offence or not.

No doubt Wise would attempt to sue in the unknown players posistion.

Anyway my post was only sarcastic, linking bad to the unwise **** attempting to sue us.

Wise overreacted, claims Taylor

Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor believes Leeds manager Dennis Wise overreacted in the row over the leaking of team news.

Wise claimed an unnamed player would never play for Leeds again after giving team details to the opposition before Saturday's game against Palace.

However, Taylor told The Guardian: "I'm disappointed and told Dennis.

"A Leeds player spoke to a Palace player on Friday night but it was a general conversation."

Taylor added: "I had an idea of who would be in the Leeds team at eight o'clock on Friday night but I had no information about team shape.

"As it was, a couple of players I thought would be in the Leeds team weren't. Players talk to players, it's part of life and it's not malicious.

"I should think there are 40 similar situations around the country at the weekend.

"I don't know why Dennis has made such a big thing out of it, it has been blown out of all proportion."

Wise will probably use this excuse to get rid of a player. My money is on one of his signings. He probably realised he made a mistake and thought he`d look a prat if he sold him a few weeks later so has found a gutless way of getting rid. Either that or its the fans favourite Healy.

Im also gutted they won the other day but at least it was against Hull who are also in the mix. Im sure DW will get them back to losing ways shortly.

so have I got this right- Wise is trying to keep secret the fact that his team is going to be $hite and Taylor has found this out via a mole. Taylor, armed with this information still loses the game then has a go at Wise for banning one of his own players.

Wise gets the three points but still goes on the radio with a portentous announcement as if there's been a death in the family that he is "disappointed " a word repeated at least 4 times- the rest of what he had to say appeared to be in a syntax unrecognisable as English.

This would be quite amusing if these 2 clowns hadn't been so involved with our club in the not too distant past

If they hadn't been involved here then we'd probably not even have noticed this story

Only some blatantly biased human rights sympathiser of a judge with no regard for employees responsibility to the people who employ them, no regard for rightful behaviour, no understanding of the potential damage of the action taken and a host of other things could possibly argue that it is not a sacking offence assuming it happened the way it was told, assuming there were no mitigating circumstances that no-one's mentioned and assuming the person concerned was the culprit. Both these last points will be highly questionable, I imagine.

Which all means he is surely bound to get off, get sympathy, Wise will get the boot, the culprit will get lucratic alternative employment....he'll even be selling his story to the Sunday's

In other words... the same league tribunal who tried to order us to reinstate the dwarf despite him breaking Callum Davidson's jaw.

But this is all a storm in a teacup. I don't see Leeds sacking anyone over this. After all they actually WON the game!

Leicester's mistake with that little w*nker mr wise was extreme naivety by punishing him twice for the same offence.

After the incident with Callum's jaw, they fined him 2 weeks wages as punishment. They then looked at it further and consequently decided to dismiss him. This was in effect punishing him twice for the same offence and thus illegal under employment law. Yes, employment law is a big joke, forgetting the bigger picture of the fact it was a vicious assault that really should have been punishable by the law, but there you go.

my understanding of what happened is that we didn't contest the hearing, claiming it was the previous (ie pre administration) company, if we had contested it, it could have been admitting liability.

By this time, Wise had already secured his victory for unfair dismissal. It was his refusal to negotiate on payment terms for compensation that resulted in us going into admin. Every other creditor, including hm revenue & customs, were prepared to negotiate amounts and terms. Wise, being the vindictive tw*t he is, demanded immediate full payment, despite knowing that this would send us into severe financial difficulties.

He still ended up with nothing along with his cigar smoking ponce of a manager

And, of course, the story of what actually happened gets diluted by the hour.
