Div one would have been a humbling experience  for us anyway. Use the second innings as batting practice (especially you Sol), and start to focus on Saturday.

Spot on. This season has been all about becoming more competitive in the CC and we have made some real progress in that respect, blooding some excellent young players along the way. We've only lost 2 games and both have been pretty close matches, 1 of which we really ought to have won. But I don't think we're close to being ready for division 1, as this game is showing. There is a risk that the 4 day season could peter out over coming weeks now that we're missing some key players but I hope that's not the case as it would not be a fair reflection of how we've done overall.

Yep. Agree with above. Kent will just about stay up in Division 1. Just. They have Bell Drummond, Crawley, Compton, Denly, Billings, muyeye and Leaning in their batting ranks. So not yet. But been a good season. Big steps forward.

Quite right. Life in Division One would be miserable. We’re just not ready. Let’s focus on building and preparing a squad for the future. It’s already been a memorable season for all the right reasons and we are going in the right direction.
