Could be a batting pitch. They’d still need to win by a very sizeable margin probably 200+

Their bowling attack is pretty weak though, Bailey is decent but the rest not so much.

Oh yeah it'll be perfect for batting too. Certainly not panicking, but they're in the equation.

That and the ground only taking 1/2 hour to mow.

Just stuck the stream on, they’re getting 420+ easily. Boundaries are incredibly short.

Let’s hope Somerset can put a decent total on the board. Batting pitch, short boundaries.

They’d need to win by 200+ to have any hope of overtaking us. Nice quiet starts all round which suit us. Hopefully it’ll be pretty clear we won’t be overtaken by 2pm and we can have a restful afternoon.

No restful afternoon now 🥹

Problem being scoring at 8+ an over from the start can lead to reckless shots and wickets. It’ll be an interesting afternoon.

Quite, they won’t be targeting getting Leics a home semi.

It's got to be a proper batting wicket- new Lancs batsmen all coming in and hitting boundaries pretty much immediately.

Looks an odd decision from Somerset to bowl first now

It’s a massive score, let’s hope they don’t crumble trying to go big too early.
My maths is poor, I wonder what margin of a win they need to overhaul us….

231 needed for Somerset for Lancs to not overtake.

Unless they get bowled out in less than 50 overs, which means it would be a bit more. I can’t see how they don’t get 231 on that pitch but you never know once panic sets in, you just know they’ll lose early wickets.

How long have Notts got to knock off 299 or how many do Surrey need to win by?

Surrey needed to win by 270. Notts need to knock it off in 28 overs

How many do Somerset need for us to still finish top?

Somewhere between 219 and 229. Different calculations are saying different things.

caveat if they’re all out, it’ll need to be more as it gets projected to 50 overs.
