The official line is that Wayne has an ankle injury but I heard from many people at the ground that he and McDonald had a blazing row at a practice match a couple of days before the 1st 20\20 match

Interesting, I know they both have been close previously. White appears to have curbed his drinking a tad, him and Cobby seemed to always be on the pop.

Yeah, seemed White had a fairly overbearing attitude in the dressing room during his last spell. You'd hope his time at Lancashire might have put him in his place a bit because he's a good pro to have on the staff when he puts his mind to it.

Cosgrove (probably) winning this for us. 34 off 18 balls in red ball cricket is absurd, great stuff from Robson to keep the scoreboard ticking along as well.

Credit where it's due we looked like we were having a bit of a wobble in recent weeks. Great to see Essex trying to hold on pretty pathetically in the end with that batting effort.
