Without seeing the situation, surely the umpires reserve the right to call back a batsman at their discretion?

On an lbw? I've never seen that in my life. What could possibly have changed between giving the decision and the umpire changing his mind?

Looking forward to finding out what went on here

Old work colleague played for Cambs and hit 74 and got mom against Worcs In a Nat West game 1989 Had Botham,Dilley,Hick playing and he was a joy to watch.Decided after that day having played but not supported a Cricket club.Worcestershire were my team.

So followed Worcs( supported would be too strong) since late 80s no connections to Worcs.

Supported Leicester since early 80s no connections to Leicester!

Very very odd goings on, batsman recalled after leaving the pitch because the square leg umpire  heard a snick, cannot think of an LBW decision in favour of the bowler being overturned by the square leg umpire or indeed a square leg umpire being involved in an LBW decision other than maybe telling the other Umpire  the batsman is a long way down the wicket in his stance. Not sure what the Umpire at the bowlers end could not see and let be overturned. by someone who clearly had a poor view and could see very little. Had a massive impact on the game and possibly our season.
