Geo V Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Elvis is off to Benfica I cant believe he isn't going to Milan to be honest mate. They have never really replaced Shevchenko and he is the most naturally gifted option out there
MC Prussian Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 So sad - and I thought we were on the way of becoming the Championship's first hockey team. Just look at that roster.
Pete_foxes Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 see you Hughes. A goodbye message from me.. "YOUR SH*T!"
Daggers Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 see you Hughes. A goodbye message from me.. "YOUR SH*T!" Why are you looking in his toilet and why do you think he needs the ownership of his excrement pointing out to him?
bluefox82 Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Thank god he has decided to go back to scotish football he might look like a player half decent enough to make the subs bench up there! i mean its not good football because craig levein is doing ok up there!!!!!

A Jambo Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 I'm a Hearts fan. You might have guessed from my username. I see you lads are delighted to be rid of Hughes. Any positives at all? Any stats from last season on him?
TheBlinding Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 I'm a Hearts fan. You might have guessed from my username. I see you lads are delighted to be rid of Hughes. Any positives at all? Any stats from last season on him? He wasn't a disaster, just too weak for the championship and he didn't really give a fcuk about the club.
Webbo Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 I'm a Hearts fan. You might have guessed from my username. I see you lads are delighted to be rid of Hughes. Any positives at all? Any stats from last season on him? He has some talent, he's just a bit light weight and weedy.
STUHILL Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 I'm a Hearts fan. You might have guessed from my username. I see you lads are delighted to be rid of Hughes. Any positives at all? Any stats from last season on him? I had his name on my shirt, that's how good i thought he would be for us when he joined and he did show glimpses of promise, quite skillful, hard worker however the negatives far outweigh the positives, too easily pushed off ball, in and out of games, wayward passing, bad shooting. So 100k actually turned out not to be a bargain we all thought, probably about his value! He is still only 24 so who knows, he could do ok in Scotland, but can't say I'll be suprised if we never see him in English leagues again! GOOD LUCK FOR THE SEASON MATE!!!
Daggers Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 I'm a Hearts fan. You might have guessed from my username. I see you lads are delighted to be rid of Hughes. Any positives at all? Any stats from last season on him? Three decent strikes on goal and a blinding effort when he came on against Birmingham. Aside from that he had an absolutely dire season, I'm delighted he's going...and I hope he can turn it around with a new start.
A Jambo Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 Cheers for info lads. He was OK at Rangers as I remember. We have plenty of boys at Hearts built like brick s&^thouses. Something to do with the Drago style training probably so a lad that is quick and will whip in some crosses is what we need. Sounds like he might be OK for us.
dandannieldanok Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 so a lad that is quick and will whip in some crosses is what we need. Well Hughes isn't quick and he isn't a winger, so you may be disappointed.
Stuliasz Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 It doesn't appear to be a done deal yet... Hearts' capture of Hughes delayed (BBC Sport)
A Jambo Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 Well Hughes isn't quick and he isn't a winger, so you may be disappointed. Nae us going forward at all? It's an attack that Hearts need.
Daggers Posted 18 August 2007 Posted 18 August 2007 Hearts' capture of Hughes delayed (BBC Sport) "I know he can play wide on the right and there are a number of positions he can play." :w00t:

The bloke doesn't have quick feet or a quick brain!! he can't run and dwells on the ball far to long
Kilworthfox Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Almost done  Hooray They obviously never saw Hughesy in Liquid gettin pissed alone with 2 bottles of blue wicked in his hands like i have on many occasions!
Webbo Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Headline; Frail: Hughes' character will make sure he fits right in When I 1st saw that headline I thought they were calling Hughes frail.
Kilworthfox Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 Headline; When I 1st saw that headline I thought they were calling Hughes frail. The article would have been much more accurate if it was
DB11 Posted 19 August 2007 Posted 19 August 2007 I've spoke to ex-Hearts players at Leicester ... I got nothing but good reports on him Sounds like Kisnorbo (and who ever else we signed from Hearts) couldn't wait to get rid of him
