ronnup Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 I liked the quote " Watch this space, thats all I can say". My guess is he is in talks with Troyes asking for permission to speak to the player, possibly already has permission and is having talks with the player. Otherwise why would he make a comment? cos it doesn't mean anything, but does make us think he's busy signing top players.
Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 cos it doesn't mean anything, but does make us think he's busy signing top players. I think that MM should be given a little more credibility than that! He is not just some bloke with a football club - he is a clever businessman. Why on earth would he say it if it doesn't mean anything?

Tubes Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 anyone else think one of the reasons hes come out is because of the pompey rivalry he used to be involved in and is tryin to put pressure on a club he doesnt like and letting them know hes waiting to steal someone who could be potentially one of the best strikers in the league?

Mandaric is gay?!?!? And..errr..NO!
Ozwin Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Leicester sound and have more potential than Southampton. Just look at us and the excitement we're producing each day on here for example. I really hope he comes to us.
Mort Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Slightly off topic, but the bloke from Microsoft has just been reported as denning any interest in taking over Southampton... looks like their going to be struggling to scrape together cash for any deal for Saga or anyone else. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/6238406.stm Shame.
Blue Bob Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Slightly off topic, but the bloke from Microsoft has just been reported as denning any interest in taking over Southampton... looks like their going to be struggling to scrape together cash for any deal for Saga or anyone else. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ton/6238406.stm Shame. Not off topic at all. I think this will have a massive impact on Saganowski's decision.
Pete_foxes Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Please god let this happen im even prepared to pay his wages to get him here if this happens i'll jump of the Shires naked MILAN MILAN

Simi Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 S'oton fans are not impressed at all. The last three lines of that article says we HAVE exercised the option to buy him - which contradicts the rest of the article about how dirty skate Manderic wants him for Leicester.Am a little confused, but he wanted to sign for us and according to that he has - for £680,000. I really hope this doesn't go tits Rest of thread here... Link
Mort Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 The funny thing is the saints fans still don't seem to understand what is meant by having 'first refusal'...
teblin Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 As I said before, "We are having a real go at bringing him here my info says we are favourites and he may be about to sign".This has taken longer than expected purely because of the battle Southampton are putting up to keep him. As you know Milan is a master at getting the timing right and we are still very much favourites to get him within a day or so. I have had a lot of stick on this one and have just been biding my time waiting for it to happen. We are certainly doing things differently with MA in charge and still no official announcement that Jonathon Hayes has signed - which he has. That was from the guy who posted the rumour in the fist place over on the other board.
city1993 Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Get in there, I hope we get him ahead of southampton because he will be our 20 goals a season man, with cort bagging a few and Hume getting a couple from out wide on the right, hopefully anyway.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 I'm actually fairly convinced we are going to sign him now. Fingers crossed.
MPH Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Get in there, I hope we get him ahead of southampton because he will be our 20 goals a season man, with cort bagging a few and Hume getting a couple from out wide on the right, hopefully anyway. Totally overjoyed with this if we get him. i was going to start this reply by saying ' you have no idea how much this signing will mean to me....' but, i think any true leicester fan will know what i mean Quality player. beating a decent team to his signature.. we are actually competing again!!! Happy days!
lookwhaticando Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 I wonder if his name is big enough for some of the fans who have been railing against the lack of big name signings?
Daggers Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 I wonder if his name is big enough for some of the fans who have been railing against the lack of big name signings? That was a rhetorical, right?
Micky Ruddle Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 £700,000 Troyes want. He also failed to agree personal terms. If MM and MA really want Sags, i say lets bid for him now! Coz i would love to see him in a City shirt!!!
Tevez Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 He would really be a great addition to the squad, but lets hope, if we sign him, that he's not that sagnowski type of guy for wolves. 1.5 Mil, and not scored.
