Sinclair's more of a midfielder than a striker. Generally likes to make lots of forward runs.

However, there are a few questions about his temprement. Got himself sent off a couple of times this year quite stupidly.

I've only heard bits about him since someone I know plays for Barnet.

This is what my Yeovil supporting mate had to say:

He's immense, west Ham let him go last season he'd spent the season before on loan at us and came back. Centre Mid, big strong lad, 19 great tackler, wicked left peg kind of a lower league Gerrard only would play out left rather than right.

If we lose him we are in big trouble, he could easily play Championship and prem in a couple of years with a bit more experience!

Leicester City manager Martin Allen has revealed he is drawing on the contacts of owner

Milan Mandaric in his quest to strengthen his squad for next season.

But Allen, who last week watched games in Bulgaria and Spain, insisted he has the final say on the players that will pull on the City shirt.

Allen said: “It's interesting watching players from other countries and I would be foolish if I didn't take on board some of the contacts the chairman has from his success in the past.

“The players that have been recommended by the chairman and (sporting director) Don Mackay, I have been able to watch on videos and DVDs. Everything has been presented to me.â€

City were last night linked with Yeovil's 19-year-old midfielder Chris Cohen and striker Dean Sinclair, from Allen's former club Barnet.

The City boss added: “The bottom line on all the players is I have the final say on the matter. At the end of the day, it's going to be me stood in the technical area. It's going to be my responsibility. It's important you don't rush in, that you get what's right. We have got to be patient and, until they get signed in, I am not going to speculate on it.â€

City yesterday revealed they have sold 8,000 season tickets for the new campaign, and expect to sell 1,000 a day for the remainder of this week.

A spokesman said: “It looks as if we will be ahead of where we were this time last year.

“That's a fantastic effort yet again from our supporters.â€

The City reserve team, meanwhile, will meet Nottingham Forest and Coventry in the Pontin's Holiday Central League next season. The second string has been reintroduced and will play their home games at Hinckley United.

Allen, meanwhile, was the 10th best manager in the country last season, according to statistics from the League Managers Association. They have compiled a table based on points for home and away wins and draws, goals scored, clean sheets and winning margins.

cohen don't sound to bad so why not get him in :dunno: but i wouldn't really want sinclair

I wouldn't want Sinclair cos he's too old. Used to run up and down the wing at Filbo in the old days!

We are talking about Dean Sinclair of Barnet not Trevor Sinclair formerly of Manchester City.

and certainly not frank sinclair who seemd to be allergic to the white dust stopping him running up the sidelines.... combined with his nosebleed everytime he was in the oppositons half, it didnt make for attractive football...

tbh not a bad defender..
