Master Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 To be honest if it was a straight choice between Fryatt and Fowler, which it could very well be, I'd keep Matty. dandannieldanock
Lovejoy Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Yeah? So what. Fryatt is sh*t, Campbell is a much better player. I don't care if we pay £10m! Who gives a sh*t? That's whole point of Milan being here because he's got the dollar to do this. Do you really want to be stuck with pissing Fryatt, Elvis, Cort, and De Vries? No, so shut up moaning about the ****ing cost, it's irrelevant. You forget Master Fox that LCFC fans NEED something to moan about whether they really feel that way or not.
Thracian Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 To be honest if it was a straight choice between Fryatt and Fowler, which it could very well be, I'd keep Matty. Has Fowler broken both his legs or something?
dandannieldanok Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Has Fowler broken both his legs or something? He will do soon enough under all that weight he his putting on
Daggers Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 £2m for DJ is £2m that isn't being spent somewhere else I reckon RK knows that he's unhappy What is happening to facts today?
Geo V Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Bo!!ocks.DJ was playing none league for a reason. But for two goals in a high profile FA cup game he'd probably still be a Brentford. Fryatt has quality, one unfit and injury ravaged season does not take that away. I would much, much, much, much rather have Fryatt than DJ (and Fowler than both). Milan will only invest a finitie amount of money into the club, it's still important that he spends it in the right way. £2m for DJ is £2m that isn't being spent somewhere else (fees, wages, backroom, training, etc). We have seen down the years some decent players come through non-league football to instant success within the football league and beyond. In recent times Freddy Eastwood has done well as has that dude that Wolves got during last season, Michael Kightly I think his name is. Also, you see promoted conference sides do well once they hit the football league so the gap isnt that big. The other thing to take into consideration is that with so many clubs opting for foreign imports, that at times can leave some younger players or fringe players looking for a club and they end up in the conference. These are the lads who havent been given a chance and can improve in time. I`d much rather not look at a player and judge him based upon where he has come from, but judge him of where he is at now. 13 goals in 20 for a promoted championship club is fine by me, especially as he never got a proper run and didnt get the chance to show what he can do due to the signings of McSheffery, Vine and Bendtner.
Rocky Dennis Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 B*LLOX!!!!! Fryatt has NO quality. Fryatt is crap, that's it. He's a nothing player and Bournemouth bound. Milan will invest whatever it takes to get us back to the Prem. Never once has he said 'Right I'm going to spend £££ amount on this, and £££ on that' You just don't know so why say it? Nobody does, it's just rumoured bullshit. Every player starts somewhere, and I'm pretty sure quite a lot the top players came from lower leagues, it's called progression. No offence mate, but you talk shite!!
Daggers Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 No offence mate, but you talk shite!! Fryatt has proved nothing to date - so it is perfectly reasonable to assume that "he's a nothing player and Bournemouth bound". Milan has not stated he will spend £X - so, again MF is not off the mark there. He said "it's just rumoured bullshit" and that's true. So what was shite about what he wrote? The bit about top players coming through from lower leagues?
Foxhateram Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 No offence mate, but you talk shite!! agreed! as to fryatt or robbie id choose fryatt were building for the future and robbie will not it in the prem now!! fryatt has talent and hes still young he will do well under MA im sure.i cant see him goin otherwise we would have accepted wolves offer! DJ will do well too bring on new season only 3 weeks to go
bringbackWalshie Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 fowler is well past it. He'd be a waste of money. Why not bring back loads of ****ing has beens. Quality my arse. His heart isn't in it anymore.

sdb Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 yes fryatt had a shocker last season but he wasn't fit! he was fit the season before and saved us from relegation!! urgh! he's not a world beater, but he's bloody good back-up for hume and campbell. if 2 of the leagues best clubs are after him, and value him at £1.5 mill-ish, it's damn obvious that he's got something. we need strength in depth if we're to get promotion and fryatt provides just that!

Totally agree with you mate!! Why dosen't everybody who is slagging him of just give him a chance, these people who are slating him bet you wasn't when he saved us from relegation 2 years ago. I agree he didn't have a good season last year but you have to remeber he was injured for most of the campaign.

Im afraid our club and definately this forum is riddled with over-negative people, who seem at there happiest when slagging off certain players!!
STUHILL Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Im afraid our club and definately this forum is riddled with over-negative people, who seem at there happiest when slagging off certain players!! Amen then to that!
bringbackWalshie Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Those that can't see that fryatt is a quality player must be living on another planet. They should go and support Man u and complain about them and their world-beaters. The glass is half-full. We need to believe in our players.
Daggers Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Is he you kid brother or summat? Did I enquire as to whether you are sucking Cheese Me's dick because you responded to a post directed at him? To say Fryatt has no quality is talking shite, you know it, MF knows it and anyone who's seen Matty play knows it. Did you watch any games last season? (Not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or after having received a large blow to the head) As has been stated many times, to rely on Fryatt to demonstrate previous potential requires a leap of faith from a squad gearing up to achieve far in excess of the previous season. He did nothing last season to justify his inclusion in our future...moreover, his lack of ability to 'team up' with Hume last season screams that he is now no more than excess baggage. As powerful as your statement that I must be "talking shite" is, I am going to have to disagree.
Master Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 No offence mate, but you talk shite!! No offence, but you’re a **** My post is probably one of a handful that actually reflects the reality in this retarded thread. You’re obviously blinded by your own ignorance to think otherwise. So do us favour and **** off you cretin.

Jimmy Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 as apposed to you that bluntly refuses to see someone elses point of view, your hypocracy is astounding.

I actually watched almost all of the games last season, never on drugs, alcohol etc.. and altough Fryatt didnt exactly set the world on fire he didnt play that much anyway. However he is in my opinion a good player, although you and your angry mate might disagree it looks like Mick McCarthy rates him too if he's prepared to pay upwards of a million quid for him.
