Let me know when you start doing the porno's

I'd feel a right twat doing porno stuff, besides I don't think they'd ever get to the production stage, and have to keep reshooting it to get the perfect blow by blow account of proceedings

Well everyone is entitled to have their view, if you listen to others, have a look for yourself and then make you're own mind up you should end up with a good bit of porn ooops getting my wires/posts crossed there  . I think i'd better go and make a cup of tea this is all getting too confusing :sweating:

Where have I commented on his or anyone elses performance last night

No I didn't go, what does it matter. I've seen Alan Sheehan plenty of times, playing actual league football not practise games against Hinckley who are no where near and match for us, and thats what I'm saying, last night will decide who steps out on the field come the first day of the season.

And stop taking the moral high ground over the people who don't attend friendlies, they can sometimes give signs about whats to come in the coming season if the oppenents are of a decent standerd but these early games are simply designed to get the players back into the swing of playing 90 minutes.

Oh, and You were the one that wanted our new manager out after one game, and you didn't even attend that one game. So shhh.

Sorry, I got the impression from your comments that you might have been there.

Don't remember you defending the "doesn't matter if he's not there" stance when I had a go at Worthington (who thankfully has now gone and been replaced by someone who's far more positive and innovative).

As for Sheehan's record with the first team in League, Cup and official friendly matches it might be fairly short but it reads pretty well to me.

Just the one defeat in about 10 outings from memory - against Bolton in the Cup.

Proves nothing of course but I don't understand why you should throw his "league football" in like it's something he might be ashamed of when it's probably as good as anyone's in the club, at least results wise.

His lack of matches due to groin and other injury, Nils' seemingly immovable presence, punishment block for being sent off against Crewe etc did him no favours but right now, Martin Allen seems to have got the old Sheehan back and that's to both parties' credit and comes as no surprise to me.

Whether Sheehan will be good enough to win a first team place I don't know but I do know we've needed attackers of his kind at full-back for ages and we seem to have three of them now all firing on all cylinders.

Furthermore I don't see why I shouldn't be pleased about that and about Sheehan's contribution last night, along with that of several others like Hume, Weso, Hayes, Chambers, Porter, Kishishev, Beswick etc.

It sure beats the frustration of last year when even pre-season victories only glossed over the fact that nothing was changing, nothing was going forwards. You've only got to see the record crowds at Quorn and Hinckley to know that things are different now and there's every chance that the days of despair are over. If you want to stay cynical so be it.

Ah yes, I forgot about the mercurial talents of the boy, Porter.

If Porter is as good as you say, I could play left back and make it look easy. Well, I could if I was few years younger and my bum was a bit peachier, of course.

Ummmmm. You've gotta remember I've seen you play.

It's hard to break the news but I think your best chance would have been last season! :D

You're too easy. I want a challenge.

I suppose if you and Porter were ever going to get in the same sentence you'd have to write it.

Mine's just to make the glow of reflected glory last a bit longer for you. :)

My girlfriend is always on about that - only I think it's more for her benefit than mine.

Still, I enjoy myself.

Think you could bring it down to meadwell's level?

It's not easy.

It's got to be mono-syllabic and make absolutely no sense.

You forgot to mention Andy on your right.

That bloke's a legend. Groundsman at a golf club near Peterborough he hardly misses a match - friendlies or reserves games included.

He and Manwell should meet because the guys a walking encyclopaedia on football these last few decades ...and much more besides.

I must have talked to him for over an hour once and everyone I mentioned, ancient or modern, he knew chapter and verse about em.
