Weso was MOM thought he ran the show, weres he found his right foot? :)

who was on the tannoy aswell! made me laugh, couldn't pronounce any names!

We also had a new striker called De Vrey as well!!!! :frusty:

There appears to be something of a discrepancy between Thracian's view of Alan Sheehan and nearly everybody else's.

I really liked the look of Sheehan last night. :)

We saw Panz. Had his camera out he did. Then he disappeared. After a phone call.

Stay tuned for more Panz related activities.

No one said Hello!

I didnt recognise anyone (erm hardly surprising as havent seen any of your pictures!). I was behind Nielsen in the first half and then I went and stood on the halfway line in the second half. I will upload pictures and possibly video later.

The match was an absaloute shambles. No player stood out and I never thought wow he is going to be good this year.

Cort only touched the ball a couple of times.

Hinckley had the best run of play.

I was hyped up about the season, that show disappointed me. :frusty:

Our you a member of englandfans by any chance its just that im sure ive seen that bit at the side about putting shit in the bin on there from someone

I see after 12 months off the Alan Sheehan band wagon is rolling again after having the wheels nailed back on to it.

Just wait until he's up against a right winger who can actually play football to a decent standerd.

He's been on and off that pedestal more often than I've used the word OLE!

(and the OLE! count currently stands at 3,207).

Funny. I was only talking about you an hour ago - and on just the same subject.

If Sheehan played well against Ronaldo I doubt you'd give him credit.

Two significant assists in two games - about as many as we got all last season from a left-back - and still you knock the guy.

All full-backs can struggle against good wingers as you well know but Sheehan wouldn't be dealing with them on his own in any case.

There was almost always two, sometimes three closers on every Hinckley player last night - and quickly too. So given that the defensive side will be a group effort, what mostly matters is how many extra goals he helps us score.

Cos in the absence so far of any 20-goals-a-season strikers, goals and assists from elsewhere are going to be vital.

Ah yes, I forgot about the mercurial talents of the boy, Porter.

If Porter is as good as you say, I could play left back and make it look easy. Well, I could if I was few years younger and my bum was a bit peachier, of course.

Well i must admit... i have a deep respect for de vries. Most overweight unwanted strikers drop down a division or two and collect a small wage after being slated so much..

he is changing my opinion of him...

You don't think it's something to do with his exorbitant wage?

Persistence is the only hope. I had quite enough of Nils, Maybury and Kenton at left-back over the last two seasons and all the goals and chances they failed to score or create between them. If Mattock/Sheehan/Beswick take their places I'll be well pleased. But if won't be with any help from you Academy knockers.

On the contray I was full of praise for him after Sheffield Weds however I've had no reason to praise him since.

I don't have a good word to say about any of the squad last night, it's a warm up game against vastly inferior opposition some people read into these games far too much and your one of them.

Well said.

It would be nice if we could inject a bit of realism here.

If the league were full of Hinckleys and Oadby Towns, yes we'd probably win it.

But it isn't.

The worst aspect of our game last night was our defending from corners, same old, same old :dunno: Well maybe, maybe not, I'm not worried just yet considering that was probably the first time McAuley has shaken hands with Neilson, N'Grotty and Chambers never mind playing a game and he would only know Sheehan as a casual acquaintance.

There's a lot more jelling and bollocks sweating to go before the defence can work successfully as a team and I'm optimistic that with Allen's foot up their arses it will be better than last year especially as we finally look to have some 'actual' full backs in the team.

But Hume has scored 4 goals in 3 preseason games doesn't that mean he is wonderful :dunno:

Does that mean you didn't go last night? Or you went and still thought he was shit?.

Personally i think the only players that really stood out, were Hume, Kish, and Hayes.

If Casino Jimmy had've made a tackle like that as an outfield player he would've been sent off and had an extended ban.

Where have I commented on his or anyone elses performance last night

No I didn't go, what does it matter. I've seen Alan Sheehan plenty of times, playing actual league football not practise games against Hinckley who are no where near and match for us, and thats what I'm saying, last night will decide who steps out on the field come the first day of the season.

And stop taking the moral high ground over the people who don't attend friendlies, they can sometimes give signs about whats to come in the coming season if the oppenents are of a decent standerd but these early games are simply designed to get the players back into the swing of playing 90 minutes.

Oh, and You were the one that wanted our new manager out after one game, and you didn't even attend that one game. So shhh.

First of all, good to meet Leicester Finest Fox and talk to davieG briffly, also see Panz, although we didn't say anything, the side burns are very noticeable. :P

Quite impressed with the stadium, shame about the sun beaming down on the terrace behind the goal, which is why we moved. No doubt SUAS will be on here later moaning that myself and Joe wanted to move.:P

People have said don't judge players over pre season, which is fair, but it's still plain to see that Hammond isn't going to achive anything at this club. I know some people say he's not as bad as everybody makes out, but he really annoys me when I watch him play. Constantly falling over whenever somebody goes near him, more or less everytime fails to hold the ball up and wait for support. Apart from chase balls over the top the only thing he achived last night in my opinion was a volley which was saved.

Stearman played well in the centre of midfield. I still have no idea where he will play or even fit in next year.

Hayes looks a very tricky player from what I've seen so far, not 100% sure he will be a starter for us though.

Kisihsev & clemence looked awesome.

Nielson looks a bit dodgey & even thought he shouts a lot, the defenders don't seem to take any notice :dunno:

De Vries will give a penalty away for his defending if he does the same like last night. Awfull, he was actually raping the bloke whilst "defending" a corner!

I think Leicester's Finest Fox would have done better staying with you lot he ended up sitting between 3 old fogeys :P . We managed to get on the end of a much shorter queue :D and I did get a pint off of LFF after the game :D , thanks for that LFF.
