Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Am I right in thinking that we're also on the verge of a 13th signing as well??

The only thing against them is that Robbie is a Premiership player and he is used to Premiership money. in other words he would sign for accrington stanley if they aid more than anyone else
Joe. Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Am I right in thinking that we're also on the verge of a 13th signing as well?? Enlighten us Ric. What've you heard?
Stevosevic Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Am I right in thinking that we're also on the verge of a 13th signing as well?? Why do you think that?
Karljohn Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Yep you could put your mortgage on it being DJ with Mido going to Brum....wonder if Fryatt will be off to Wolves? Id expect 2-3 to be offloaded soon, even if its maybury and co...
Simi Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Enlighten us Ric. What've you heard? Why do you think that? Look back a page. Something was supposedly heard on Radio Leicester.
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I think radio Leicester said something like "could the 13th signing be on horizon as well?" Just an assumption that the signings would continue...

Id expect 2-3 to be offloaded soon, even if its maybury and co... The 13th signing could possibly by Theo Janssen or Alex Morfaw or kevin lisbie?? Definitely DJ though. As for selling Fryatt for £1.5million - thats a great profit! What did we buy him for from Walsall? i doubt he'll go to Wolves as they've already brought in Elliot and Eastwood and are overloaded in the striker section, Preston is probably the best bet if any. Would rather keep him though and get rid of de Vries and Hammond and have Cort, Humey, DJ and Matty as our main strike foursome. Sweeeeeeeet.
Simi Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I think radio Leicester said something like "could the 13th signing be on horizon as well?" Just an assumption that the signings would continue... Yeh that's what I thought would be meant by it.
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I think it might be... Robbie Fowler Doubt it...his agent said only yesterday that he would take his time deciding on his future
Master Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Agreed, we have to play along with the market or we just won't get the players ahead of clubs with parachute money to burn.MM is sticking to his promise of spending £4m this summer with: £2.1 (campbell) + £750,000 (clemence) + undisclosed. (Kaebi) Lovely, that will do nicely. Couple more an we're ok.
Bryn Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 I'm surely not the only one who thinks Fowler coming here would be a bad thing?
Master Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Fryatt - £1.5 million - PrestonThat's the latest rumour GOOD
David Villa Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Robbie Fowler would be good for the club mate, he is a proven goal finisher, actually he would be the best finisher in the Championship if he came to us. Fowler 9 thats what i say.
Daggers Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 True, that was reportedly another £230,000. No no no no no no no no no no no no no.... There is no basis for this at all - in fact, it is quickly becoming this seasons "rolling contract". He was quoted on one website as having a value in Denmark of 2,300,000 Euro which was (wrongly) calculated by a poster as worth £230,000. There is no reliable confirmation of this whatsoever.
Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 James constable. I bloody well hope not. He's playing non league football now.

Fowler 9 thats what i say. He would be, but theres nothing to suggest he'll be signing today. I would love it if it was him, but the reports point to it being DJ.
Master Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 Robbie Fowler would be good for the club mate, he is a proven goal finisher, actually he would be the best finisher in the Championship if he came to us. Fowler 9 thats what i say. Why? Would he be any worse at another club?
Ric Flair Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 No no no no no no no no no no no no no.... He had a release clause in his contract that worked out in English pounds to be £230,000. Whether we paid that, i'm not sure but that's his release clause.
Kent Fox Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 A lot of people are working on the assumption that MDV and Elvis will have actually gone by the end of the transfer window... The rest appear to want Fryatt to go. It's quite possible that all 3 of them will still be here come 11/08.
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 And of course you know we have paid £2m for him We might not have. And it's only DJ FFS! Over-rated and over priced IMO
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 July 2007 Posted 20 July 2007 For less money Fez. Which means we could of outbid the buyers. Sharp, Varney and Helguson similar amounts (all around £2million), Eastwood for £1.5m but Wolves would almost certainly have upped their bid had we come in for him as well Manwell. It's all well and good having a moan about us not signing some of these players but we've missed out on Hendrie, Todorov etc as well. We finished 19th last season and we haven't got the same spending power or squad strength as Wolves, Charlton or Sheffield United.
