It is expensive but it's pretty much the going rate, he'd be going for around this fee if we hadn't been interested and it's not like we could get someone amazing for £500,000 in the current climate. Agreed, we have to play along with the market or we just won't get the players ahead of clubs with parachute money to burn. MM is sticking to his promise of spending £4m this summer with: £2.1 (campbell) + £750,000 (clemence) + undisclosed. (Kaebi)

Varney and sharp both went for less, Eastwood even went for less than that didn't he? We were linked with Job I bet he wasn't that much. And thats just putting into perspective for for you lot by using players people have suggested we sign. For 2 Million if we're talking domestically based I'd of gone for Heider Helguson. Although if you want me to start reeling off players in other countries I will happily do so.
