Geo V Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 I think we should put ecstacy in the childrens milks, driving home would be am absolute joy, people smiling, dancing in the streets, goths and chavs running across the road to hug eachother et al. Ahhh You have just described Glasgow, any day of the week, any week of the year!
Daggers Posted 3 August 2007 Posted 3 August 2007 From other MP's, not the public.I think that was quite clear I have no idea why you are arguing with me - the points you were making are not the points I was making, nor did they intersect until you twisted my roiginal post. You entire point boils down to that "most people" believe in the policies of UKIP but are ignorant of them at this moment in time. My point was people can effect change by contacting their local MP. Your logic reflects the muddled thinking of UKIP, a bunch of self-centred, short-sighted nutters and scaremongerers. There's your apples on a plate - this crap discussion is over.

There's your apples on a plate - this crap discussion is over. It appears that when you've run out of argument, you can only resort to either being abusive or ending it. Or both. You haven't proved anything at all. You have failed to back your points up with any facts, which I asked for. It is not "my logic" at all and the fact you can just mildly abuse UKIP suggests that you too are ignorant of their policies. And really, Daggers, you are not one who should be making any comment on "twisting" posts. And I mean that in a nice way. There's your apples back - I don't want them
lookwhaticando Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Boys sentenced for stoning death Five boys have been sentenced to two years' detention for killing a father who collapsed with a heart attack after being pelted with stones and rocks. One of the stones fractured Ernest Norton's cheekbone Ernest Norton, 67, was playing cricket with his son at a leisure centre in Erith, south-east London, when he was targeted in February 2006. The pair came under a hail of missiles and two stones hit Mr Norton's head. The boys, now aged between 12 and 14, were convicted of manslaughter and violent disorder in August. Passing the sentence at the Old Bailey, Judge Warwick McKinnon said: "The conduct of all of you as a group was utterly disgraceful and criminally irresponsible." A victim impact statement by the victim's wife Linda Norton, read out in court by prosecution counsel Anthony Orchard, said: "Ernie's death has affected our lives in so many ways, we are still trying to be normal and enjoy ourselves again but I don't think I ever will." The statement said Mr Norton's death had a "dramatic effect" on his daughter and son. 'Vicious, unprovoked attack' Following the sentence, Det Insp Clive Hayes said he hoped the "tough sentence" will "act as a deterrent" to other youths tempted to get involved in anti-social behaviour. He added that Mr Norton's family was "satisfied" and felt "justice has been done". The boys wept and hugged their parents following sentencing. Judge McKinnon said: "This was a vicious, entirely unprovoked and sustained group attack involving a barrage of missiles." He added the boys "hyped" themselves up by "earlier rowdy mischief and misbehaviour" before attacking Mr Norton. A jury heard Mr Norton was hit on the head at least twice. "A child would realise your actions were dangerous, running the risk that injury would result. I am satisfied that each one of you were aware of that danger," the judge said. Mr Norton had set up stumps with his 17-year-old son James in a tennis court to practise bowling. The father and son were playing cricket in the tennis court But they were approached by up to 20 youths who began shouting abuse including "rubbish bowler" and "go back to the old people's home". Mr Norton tried to scare them off but they threw stones, rocks and pieces of wood at him and he collapsed, bleeding heavily. "We were just keeping ourselves to ourselves," James Norton had told the court. "It just seemed they wanted to pick on someone." James and his mother Linda watched as an off-duty police officer tried in vain to resuscitate Mr Norton.
Jon the Hat Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 What a pathetic sentence. I would agree if they were adults, but at 12-14 that is a long time. If they get out at 16 there is a chance they can be involved in society and not spend their entire lives causing more misery and costing society a fortune.

Yeah i suppose, cant wait for these to be part of society again, they really deserve it after destroying a family.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 I've come to the opinion that the victim should be allowed to dictate the level of punishment upon a guilty verdict.Justice should be restorative - if the wife wishes to forgive them then it should be her decision...if she wants them to have their flesh peeled from their bones then who are we to argue. It's high time that the victims of crime were considered more and that the rights of the 'criminal' curbed somewhat. It is said "that it is better 10 men go free than one innocent man is convicted" [Blackstone's ratio]...I'm not liking those odds anymore. Ok, if you had a party whose main aim was to advocate Capital/Corporal Punishment and to ensure that we abolished our pathetic Human Rights Laws that so helps the criminals, they'd probably get into power.

No they deserve an acid bath, eyes and tongues gouging out IMO... they KNEW what they were doing and being 12-14 has no bearing on that. They've taken away the human rights of a law-abiding citizen, they too need punishing. IMO build Hitler style Auschwitz' instead of prisons and get rid of the whole ****ing lot of hardened criminals like drug barons, paedophiles, murderers.. the only thing against it is if there was a miscarriage of justice.

Nationwider Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 build Hitler style Auschwitz' instead of prisons and get rid of the whole ****ing lot. The trouble with being mis/partly quoted. You don't want too many people sticking that in their sig.

So you want the police to have the right to drag someone from their bed in the middle of the night beat them up then release them without any charge. Or someone not being allowed to appeal against a sentence. There has to be a blance and making the punishment worse than the crime is not right.

Rincewind Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 Wasn't Hitler all for abolishing human rights? He was big on capital punishment too.

Asha Posted 22 October 2007 Posted 22 October 2007 Wasn't Hitler all for abolishing human rights? He was big on capital punishment too. Well for a start he believed in Aerianism( about spellling). He thought only fair-haired people with blue eyes were the only people who should remain alive, and be German of course.

In fact he got his facts all wrong, Aryans were not blue eyed blonde buys, but had dark hair and dark eyes!! Aryans are said to be from persia and middle east originally!!

Guest Posted 22 October 2007 Posted 22 October 2007 But Hitler wasn't blond haired (dunno about the eye colour), so he wouldn't have fitted in with his great plans. That's something that I have pondered far too much over....
Smudge Posted 22 October 2007 Posted 22 October 2007 I've got fook chance with my history exam(s) then... In which case spend five minutes reading this. Aryan was meant to distinguish from Semetic, (Jewish)
Daggers Posted 30 November 2007 Posted 30 November 2007 .. the only thing against it is if there was a miscarriage of justice. Phew. Well if that's the only thing against expunging people en masse then what the **** are we waiting for?

Hitler believed strongly in Darwinist theories of evolution and along with other Nazi thinkers thought that White skin, Blonde hair, blue eyes was the purist and strongest human form. Hitler believed that a society full of strong healthy people fulfilling these Germanic qualities would be dominant over other races and this was encouraged through many state policies regarding rewards for marriage and childbirth. The aryan idea originally comes from Hindhuism and was an idea appropriated by the Russian occult writer Helena Blavatsky who was very influential upon Austrian occultists such as Alfred Rosenberg who mixed occult teachings with extreme racial doctrines. They suggested that it was the northern europeans that were the direct descendents of an ancient Aryan master race as Blavatsky described in her work 'the secret doctrine'. It is believed that many of these ideas were very influential upon Hitler when he was living in Vienna and amplified during his failed time in the army during the first world war. Also it was Blavatsky who first used the inverted swastika in europe on the seal of the secret doctrine which was of course used as the symbol for National Socialism.
