Mort Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 I trust the Times like and old friend. As do i...especially Bill Rees-Mogg in the comments section. ...well, Mogg and Martin Samuel,
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 Things lookin bad for the MA & MM relationship they seem to be having so many differences in opinion id bet anything he'll be out by the end of the season unfortunately. I like Allen he seems like a good man but the results and performances havent came in the 1st 3 matches and i cant see Watford being a great success with their start to the season You and no-one else knows anything about there relationship.
MC Prussian Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 That'd be a quality signing imho! However, I'd rather trim down the first squad a bit (and send a few more out on loan).
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 Looking at that picture accompanying the BBC article, he seems to have the same physique as another Scottish import of ours - a certain Mr Hughes. Even the suggestion of that analogy is probably enough to put me off...
Geo V Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 Im not sure whether this is a case of MM and MA not agreeing on which player to go for or more prabably, Celtic are pricing him out of a possible move to us. Obviously inquiries were made but if they are asking silly money, maybe MA just said no thanks and is looking elsewhere.
Maybes Posted 20 August 2007 Posted 20 August 2007 Im starting to get annoyed with this MM and MA disagreeing malarky. Allen is favourite in the sack race according to bookies and they often dont get it wrong.

Allen is favourite in the sack race according to bookies and they often dont get it wrong. The bookies talk plenty of shite mate. Last season the bookies stopped taking bets on Ince becoming our next manager! They do it all the time because they know that so many gamblers have knee-jerk reactions and simply follow the money and they are the ones who keep reducing the prices and create plenty of the stories.
Geo V Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 He can obviously play from the left though... http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=1323242007 It's all a far cry from his time at Hibs where he scored 54 league goals in 100 starts, despite often playing on the left of midfield. It was the sort of form which earned him a call-up to the full Scotland squad and he won his solitary cap as a substitute in the friendly against Austria in August 2005.
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 We're going to end up with a panic buy on the last day of the season and it'll be some shit league one striker who scores a hat trick this weekend.
Ric Flair Posted 21 August 2007 Posted 21 August 2007 We're going to end up with a panic buy on the last day of the season and it'll be some shit league one striker who scores a hat trick this weekend. Lionel Ainsworth already has one.
