Daggers Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 I have high hopes for JFH, not least because it means we will have someone in the team that can kick a dead ball properly

BartonFox Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 If I said I was a little insulted by that comment it would be an understatement. Come you have to admire the comedy genius of this 'maddog' buffoon. Surely this has to be the ramblings of a comedy multi
josh_baskin Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Says on Wikipedia he's currently in training with Chelsea reserves, and may be put into there squad on a short term basis as a backup striker fof 2007/08, so if thats the case how on earth can city compete with what chelsea can offer him?
Flexx Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 You do relise he is 35 and has just been released by another Championship side. We aren't signing the JFH of old you know. Fingers crossed he still has a little bit left in the tank. Maybe because he had a relegation release clause? He obviously can't find another team in the Prem, so this is final chance of getting any team AT ALL.
Ozwin Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Why should Fryatt go? Why not get rid of Elvis for a start? Then we have Hume, Fryatt, DJ, and JFH. De Vries is alright but something tells me he isn't going to be our starting striker for much longer. De Vries and Hammond out me thinks. Then get Murphy and a fooking left winger and we're sorted. But yeah, if JFH comes I won't be one to complain. I just want Fryatt to stay, I don't want to see him in a fellow Championship team's kit.

Fingers crossed he still has a little bit left in the tank. i know he isn't the same as old but for this division i still think he will be great. And don't forget we have been down the bottom half of this division for the last 3 seasons and now we may be signing a player of his quality. Sure he may not have the quality he used to but for a team like Leicester who have narrowly avoided league 1 football for the last 2 seasons, and in this division he is just a superb signing if we get him

Simi Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 HendersonElvis Chambers Dodds Odihambo Hume De'Vries Fryatt Sappleton Campbell Jimmy Floyd Dodds will never get 40 goals from there.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 HendersonElvis Chambers Dodds Odihambo Hume De'Vries Fryatt Sappleton Campbell Jimmy Floyd Henderson?!
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 HendersonElvis Chambers Dodds Odihambo Hume De'Vries Fryatt Sappleton Campbell Jimmy Floyd I'd feel a bit better if we played McKay in goal.
TheBlinding Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 Not sure how he'll do tbh, he must have lost some pace and that was a big part of his game but you don't lose class. But if we create the same sort of chances we did at the weekend he should score plenty of goals.
mancunianfox Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 No wonder Mandaric wanted Warnock in as manager. We would have signed about fifteen strikers by now.
BartonFox Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 HendersonElvis Chambers Dodds Odihambo Hume De'Vries Fryatt Sappleton Campbell Jimmy Floyd Carl Cort to replace Henderson.

TheBlinding Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 HendersonElvis Chambers Dodds Odihambo Hume De'Vries Fryatt Sappleton Campbell Jimmy Floyd No room for Cort?
Simi Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 We now have the player with the fattest arse ever. (almost)
Guest Posted 13 August 2007 Posted 13 August 2007 I think our tactic is to eventually sign every striker in the country, then leaving the other teams with nobody to actually score a goal. Sheff Yoo tried it, and failed. Says on Wikipedia he's currently in training with Chelsea reserves, and may be put into there squad on a short term basis as a backup striker fof 2007/08, so if thats the case how on earth can city compete with what chelsea can offer him? You're having a giraffe? Chelsea or City? Come on, easy choice. No room for Cort? There's two tables in the physio's room.
