toblerone Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 News conference down here in Bristol this afternoon, expected to be that Johnson has signed a new contract at Bristol City, so I don't think much will happen on that one. I thought it was a strange move anyway
Nick Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Garry Johnson (bristol city manager has apparently been seen at walkers!!!! I have just seen Martin Jol in Morrissons. He was buying a drink but no food so I spoke with my mate who has a catering company and he has had an order for LCFC for some sandwiches. The sandwiches ordered were cheese and pickle and ham salad. I phoned my mate who is a Spurs fan and he confirmed my link immediately stating that Jol has been seen eating cheese sandwiches before. A London hospital reports that the successful removal of a black ornamental bhudda from the anus of an unamed man in his forties has taken place. Chief Surgeon Dr S. Hitthatout commented that the man now has a new lease of life to pursue his career in gardening. Police spokespersons confirm that they have investigated the matter though progress has been slow due to a confidentiality clause between the involved parties. N.

eaststandtom Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Beeb now saying Swindon denying Leicester approach for Sturrock. Cov also saying Dowie rumour is a big load of BS.Swindon say any approach would not be welcome. I'd imagine that would be echoed by 30,000 odd Leicester fans too. sturrock harshly sacked at wednesday fans were chanting his name the game after. when we were up there soon after a lot of wednesday fans were not pleased he got the boot.
Kent Fox Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Apparently there are some very strong rumours, accompanied by sightings in various outlets around Leicester, such as Morrisons and Subway (to name but two). These rumours can be found on MM's not-so-secret website: www.thisisallbollox-whocareswhoweget-somewilllikethenewmanagersomewont.co.uk It's all deja-vu. Most of this was covered before MA was appointed. We know that many of the rumours are most likely crap. We can argue all day / week / month about who is good enough and who ain't. Who we might get and who we won't. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what we think - it's what Milan thinks. If it's Warnock - he will be supported. No, I don't want him here but he will get the support. Not one of you will give up your ST, stop posting on here and stop supporting the club if Warnock gets the job, so stop saying you will (you know who you are). And the same applies to whoever we get. Some will be happy, some won't. God, am I in a bad mood today or what? PUBLIC NOTICE: Kent Fox apologises for his outburst. He is having a bad day and should be back to normal in the next day or so. Well-wishers can send ££ to him as that may aid recovery.
Daggers Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Yes. Always believe what your football club is telling you. They aren't my club.
teblin Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Mandaric draws up city short-list by Andy Mann Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric today revealed he has drawn up a short-list of candidates for the vacant manager's job. And he hopes to have a new man in place before the Championship campaign resumes with the visit of QPR to the Walkers Stadium a week on Saturday. Mandaric said: “The list is quite a short list of four, five, maybe six people. “My goal is before the home game against QPR on September 15 that we can hopefully get a manager in place.†Mandaric, right, was speaking to the Mercury from America, where he is spending some time with his family and “clearing†his head following the departure of manager Martin Allen. He remains in regular contact with the club and expects to start interviewing candidates on his return. Mandaric said: “I am doing some business on the phone and preparing the interviews for the day I come back, probably over the weekend.†He added: “It's clear to me we need to bring in a manager who is experienced and well organised. “We have a lot of good professionals and quality players and, with the addition of one or two players and a good manager, I am very hopeful.†Swindon have dismissed speculation linking their manager Paul Sturrock with the post. It came just a day after Coventry warned any approach for their boss Iain Dowie would be “firmly rebuffedâ€. In a statement issued through their website, swindontownfc.co.uk, the Robins said: “Swindon would like to confirm it has received no approach from any club with regard to manager Paul Sturrock. “The club would also like to confirm any approach would not be welcome. The club remain committed to League One success under Sturrock's guidance.†Sturrock was in charge at Plymouth as they were promoted from League Two to the Championship. He has also guided Sheffield Wednesday to the Championship and Swindon to promotion from League Two last season. Other names being linked include Chelsea reserve-team coach Brendan Rodgers, former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock and ex-Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder. Former Coventry manager Peter Reid, Gary Megson, formerly of Nottingham Forest, and ex-Wigan manager Paul Jewell have also been linked, although it is understood the latter is not yet ready for a return to management. Mandaric said of the speculation: “When we are ready, which will hopefully be soon, our supporters will be the first to know what's happening.â€
Master Fox Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 The list is quite a short list of four, five, maybe six people. I see!

We've got no chance if he can't work out how many names he has on his short list, FFS it's a SHORT LIST either it's 4, 5 or 6

Daggers Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Snap! But at least we now know that the shortlist is a list that is short.
davieG Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 But at least we now know that the shortlist is a list that is short. I know it's such a revelation, a Marcury/Blanderson scoop of the year and here was me thinking he'd got hundreds of potential candidates to choose from. I'm totally flabbergasted by this news, time for lie down to recover.

He's trying to Get Beckham on loan from American club LA He had a big fight with MA hence his head hurts It will take him another 20 managers before he gets a good manager We find out via John Barber on the moan in!
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 It's Warnock. This will test the resolve of the Citeh fans.
Raj Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 It's Warnock. This will test the resolve of the Citeh fans. Is that a matter of fact Anything you want to tell us!
Daggers Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 It's Warnock. This will test the resolve of the Citeh fans. Fuck his luck if he loses a couple on the trot.
teblin Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 It's Warnock. This will test the resolve of the Citeh fans. I get that feeling too. So be it, but he'll have to do very well to win us over. I just want to get back to the football, and winning some games.
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2007 Posted 6 September 2007 Is that a matter of factAnything you want to tell us! Warnock was Mandaric's first choice, he stupidly listened to the fans and it backfired with Allen. I don't think he'll make that mistake again, he'll go with his gut instinct. Warnock is still available and as long as Neil doesn't have his pride at stake because we didn't go for him the first time, he'll be here. The only other serious contender is Dowie IMO. He'd cost us an arm and a leg I think. So it's likely to be Colin. The fans won't be happy, but we know fook all as a collective group. We've been wrong so many times before.
