lookwhaticando Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Managerless Leicester draw 0-0 with Plymouth. Hardly a dynamic match... can't believe I came home early from work for that.
Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Significant points of the game: ....................... ................................................................... .................................................................. The end.
Lets Be having You Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 sounded complete and utter crap no shots on target, you have to feel very sorry for those who went down
Dames Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 A point at Plymouth is good considering recent performances down there. I'll take it.
Stuliasz Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Reasonable result but I'm glad I decided not to go down for it now.
Phube Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Well that was exciting wasn't it!!?? P.s. Why didn't Thrac join us in LiveChat!?
Lillehamring Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 sounds like the defence did a really good job, tho...
Bryn Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Significant points of the game: .......................................................................................... .................................................................. The end. We got one pretty significant point out of it.
Kent Fox Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I think after the turbulent week the players have had to endure this week, and our often appalling record at Plymouth, most of us should be happy with a point. Many of the players will not have been 100% mentally prepared as is usual with what has happened this week. So why not cut them a bit of slack here. I think that next week we will see a Leicester more like the one who beat Watford.

Thracian Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 sounded complete and utter crap no shots on target, you have to feel very sorry for those who went down Most won't mind. Some will be a lot happier than if we'd attacked and taken any sort of risk. After all this time they're conditioned masochists. I know we didn't have a shot on target. But what can you expect?. They were only using normal sized goals and most of our players never got closer to the goal than 35 yards more than occasionally.

Milky Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 So i guess Beaglehole decided against his magical attacking free flowing football today then? No shots on target, oh dear. Oh well, take the point and run.
Fox 4 EvA Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I listened to the match on the radio and i think the result isnt bad, although if we are aiming for promotion we should be winning those games. It's the performance that is worrying, we didn't have a single shot on target and it seemed as if we resorted to our old ways of sitting deep and playing hoofball. I understand we didn't have a manager but with our players and fans we should be better than that......... especially considering we are aiming for promotion
Tabou Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 I agree with KentFox. Hard week for all concerned. Lots of changes, unrest and confusion. So to travel 4 hours, and get a point where we have lost on the last *how many* occasions and haven't won since the 50's i think is a good result! Shame about the crap football. Still early days yet. Bonus is...new manager will have 2 weeks to bond with the squad, and sort them out. Not long i know, but better than just a couple of days...
Matt Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Wouldn't say i'm happy but wouldn't say i'm disappointed, after the week the players have had we did fairly well, didn't sound like we played to well which worries me but hopefully when the new manager comes in we will get abit of stability back for 3 months or so anyway...

adam Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Anyone listening to Andy on bbc leics. Colin willy puller

I know we didn't have a shot on target. But what can you expect?. They were only using normal sized goals and most of our players never got closer to the goal than 35 yards more than occasionally. Again. You weren't even there. Rowett said it was pretty end to end. For all you know we tried to attack, it didn't work out, Plymouth could have been very hard to break down. So Rudkin thinks "Let's not make the same mistake we made against Palace, let's shut the game down and take 1 more point than we have taken from Home Park in recent seasons, and go back to Leicester". At least you used to argue your points, now you just look like someone's taken your rattle.

You might be right but how long are people going to come out with these endless excuses for our failure to have a go? What was the reason against Blackpool first half? Or Accrington. And why did we funnel back on defence at Palace in the closing stages? Or barely have a kick for the first half-hour at Notingham? We need some sodding attitude. And by that I don't mean a team full of Tiatto's but a team full of people organised with one intent - to score goals.
Frenzied Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 1st rule of a successful team - win at home and don't lose away. Good result. And considering the past week...
morris1234 Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Significant points of the game: .......................................................................................... .................................................................. The end. what about barbers weather report!? oh and barber when he realised his prada wearing sheep were lsing 6-0!
DB11 Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 By the sounds of it they didn't play with any passion, and I feel that MA would have brought some of that passion so MM isn't convincing me with his decision just yet.
AoWW Posted 1 September 2007 Posted 1 September 2007 Kinda pleased I had a good reason not to go and avoided the long journey - doesn't sound like I missed alot. Happy enough with one point, to be honest.
