Chelve84 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I know there is a lot people against the appointment of Megson, But i think he could just be the man. I have a good feeling about it, i know people will be thinking he took forest down and he aint exactly a big name, but he is gonna sort us out i reckon, i think he'll be a success, if he is given the support and time. Any 1 else think this?
Stuliasz Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Not me, but I will support him through his (probably short) tenure.
wurmer Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 In a word, nope. Hope he proves me wrong though.
Milky Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Disappointed, but I'm willing to give the man a chance, and really hope he does well. Only time will tell whether Milan has got it right.
eaststandtom Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 he has chosen a man with a proven track record at this level!!! yes but results will prove it
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 No I don't think he's got it right, at all.
The People's Hero Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He's the Fryatt of erm... Leicester. Wait, no, that doesn't work. Beaglehole should have got the job. There is a time for being sh it. That time has passed. Now is the time for free-flowing attacking, big winning margin victories. Beaglehole is the only man in the world who can deliver that.
Wilkesy Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Hes probably not the right man, but i will give my support to whoever is manager of this club!
samlcfc1 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 he wouldnt have been my top choice but all we can do now is get 100% behind him
demon_dog Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Hes probably not the right man, but i will give my support to whoever is manager of this club! Seconded, while we would all have loved to see a well known 'name' as manager,he's here so get behind him and hope he can deliver the goods. p.s. MM says we may have another press conference in 6 or 7 weeks.
josh_baskin Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Speaking to my mate whos a West brom fan and he seems to think Milan has pulled off a master stroke and i would have to agree with him, lets not forget the way he turned them around from relegation certs in the old first division to play off winners, yeh he had a tough time at Forest but who wouldnt have, the mans a proven motivator and winner just what we have lacked in our last few managers and he'll take no nonsense from the players, just curious how his relationship with Milan will hold out.
Tabou Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I swear some people will want city to loose just so they can be justified in their hatred of Megson! Congrats to him, new job new start blah blah. Now beat QPR on saturday!
Darkzzz_ Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I for one dont think he has got it right, but i will support him and hope he does well for us.... Like people are saying time will tell!! Lets hope he can silence them forest fans
The Stig Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 If he finds his West Brom form then yes, Forest form and he'll be gone in before the end of the season.
STUHILL Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 The odds are totally against him being success in my eyes as he already has inherited another guys team, transfer window closed, hasnt been in management for 19months, pressure from MM, more pressure from fans!! I don't think he will be given much time at all by our fans, if he doesn't instantly start winning, oh boy there will be a backlash after all the events recently!!! His only way is to WIN WIN WIN (ppl may say that is same for every manager, but If Jewell or Keegan had of come in and drew a few lost a couple, still think ppl would be optimistic about the future!)
Ozwin Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'd have prefered Warnock to Megson. In fact I'd have prefered quite possibly all the candidates that were mentioned over Megson. >_> Tis a sad day for Leicester.

No noone else thinks he has got it right! We do however have to cheer him on as he has to be given a chance unlike MA
Ozwin Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 We won't be cheering the manager we'll be cheering the players. He can sit there and deal with it.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 We'll see. He's hardly "Forest stock." I'm more pissed about Neil Lennon going there than him coming here.
eaststandtom Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 We'll see. He's hardly "Forest stock." I'm more pissed about Neil Lennon going there than him coming here. less forest stock than o'neill anyway!! he did ok for us
oundlefox Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 The jury is definitely out for me. Not the most inspirational choice but I guess he can only be judged on results. If we start making a push for the play-offs later in the season then it will be seen as a good choice, but given Mandaric's shotgun management style he's going to have to get off to a bloody good start. Thing that worries me the most is he lost the dressing room at Forest, which obviously means in more brutal terms he totally lost the respect of the players. Did a reasonable job at WBA but I'm surprised Mandaric didn't opt for somebody a bit more high profile. Maybe he did, but maybe they didn't want to come and work under a chairman who has already axed three manager's this year. Hardly job security is it?
FilboFox Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Out of all the options that we had... no. But then I don't think that anyone else wanted to come and that Megson was about our 8th choice...
filbertway Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I'm going to give him a chance, I think people are being very harsh from the off without even giving him a chance. I think even DB11 would have a more open mind about the appointment. Sure, if after 4/5 games (if he get's that long) and we've only got 3/4 points then moan about his appointment, but to moan about him and criticise him before we've even played 1 game or even been here for 1 day is madness. He's got my backing from the start anyway, it's only fair. Good luck Megson.
