The Walkers Stadium is being expanded as I enter my third season, an extra 4,500 seats :cool:

Just about to start second season, first game vs. Forest :cool:

Signed Scott Dann, Saulius Mikoliunas, Nikolay Mihaylov and a couple of youngsters in the Summer.

Got rid of James Chambers (200k), Sheehan (66k), Porter (150k), Nielsen (150k), Newton (40k) and Fryatt (775k + add-ons).

How's your season gone?

In runs of ridiculous winning streaks and then senseless losing streaks.

I think at one point I won 11 in a row, keeping clean sheets in 8 consecutive games and then lost an easier set of games for 5 games!

I was miles clear, but in the end only just scraped automatic promotion on the last day (I lost but thankfully so did Wolves - who were third).

My signing of the season was a chap who's name I forget but he was a striker plucked from one of the under 20/under 21 squads of southern america (possibly uruguay) - he refused to go anywhere on loan, then Fryatt got injured so I gave him a go and despite having finishing stat of about 6, he was simply clinical. If he hadn't got injured too, he'd probably have got 20/25 goals in the half season ish I had him for.

DJ and Fryatt were delicious one minute and appalling the next.

Kisnorbo sold (by Milan) for about 1.5mill I think. Weso also sold for the sameish three times, but on each occasion refused to move due to wages (to good Italian teams each time, too). Porter gone for £200k to Milwall, Rab gone for £100k to Milwall, de Vries gone for £80k to Milwall. Elvis Hammond on loan at Milwall.

Oh and Milwall are really struggling by the way.

I got promoted with Posh too, scraping in to second with a good surge at the end of the season, with Sappleton, McKay and a couple of Villa loanees chipping in with good contributions. They have a good squad, to be fair so it wasn't much of an achievement.

Need to really strengthen both teams in order to compete in the higher divisions.

The supporters don't like me at either club, both sets are holding cup exits against me. With Posh I beat Swansea and Stoke in the Carling Cup before losing to Newcastle by a single goal at St James' Park - they hold this against me.

With Leicester, I did put a full strength team out in the 1st round I was in and got turned over by Stockport at home, so fair enough!

Oh, and Fulop probably isnt as good as how we know him to be because, when the game was being made the researcher for Sunderland probably made him that way (Im guessing)

The board are satisfied with me so far but the fans said I should think carefully about Campbells selection in the team. Cheeky bastards!

any updates for this yet? im getting sick of the constant disallowed goals - just drew 1-1 and has 3 goals chalked off!!! grrrr. 0-0's aren't common place either are they?!

Into my 4th season now (I have no life :D ), not won a game despite having an amazing team on paper.

Kerlon is now worth 17 million. If you get promoted make sure you sign him, he's got a release clause of 2.9million and improves massively. Oh and I got to the QF of the world cup with Ghana lol

My Football Manager has gone tits up, theres no Shortcut so i can't load it up or anything? Help anyone?

Had this problem with mine. The game installed ok but there was no evidence of it either as a shortcut or on the windows menu. If you go to My Computer>C Drive>Program Files>Sports Interactive> you may well see Football Manager 2008 there.

I ended up doing quite a bit of sleeping in the end after a demoralzing opening day 7-1 defeat at the hands of Watford. Picked up after that with back to back wins against Norwich (I went 1-0 down) and Blackpool. Beat Stanley 1-0 but then got knocked out in the 2nd round by Brum (3-2).

Quite difficult to sign anyone of any standing. As seems usual Kisnorbo was sold under my nose by MM for £1.3 million, every prem club wants a piece of Mattock too and I have only managed to bring in Phil Bardsley and Frazer Campbell on loan and the only perm signing I made was Mark Gower.

Still, languishing in 15th place after 9 games I shall battle on....

Keep at it. Familiarity plays an increased role this year apparently.

Pick a formation which suits your players and stick to it.

Away from home, try to play more defensively, but on counter attack with DJ Campbell up front (even on his own).

Really?! He has scored 2 in about 7 starts. Believe it or not Sheehan is my top scorer with 3 all from freekicks... Drafted Ash Chambers in cos he had scored 12 in 6 for the U18's and he scored on his debut. Hume goalless, Fryatt on 2, Weso has a couple as does Bruno.

Keep hold of Weso if you can, pops up with quite a few goals and improves a lot. Premiership clubs will come sniffing.

You'll be lucky if Milan doesn't sell him for you though.

Enzo Scorza is the lad available in the Uruguayan U20's I got for £110k.

He scored bucketloads. Not sure he's premiership standard yet.. and not sure he's good everytime or just randomly on mine but check him out.

Guy called Saivet from Lyon becomes awesome. Available for about £300k early on I think - get him. Seriously.

Im in February at the moment, was languishing in the bottom half at christmas time, but 10 straight wins has sent me up into 4th position!! Weso has scored 15 goals for me so far. Marlet, Priskin, Bothroyd, and Fryatt have been firing in the goals - as well as a young Argentinian that I signed from Al-Sadd for £2.3m, barely months after he moved there for £11.5m.

Lee Martin on loan from Man U is a quality player as well.

Milan sold Kissa for £1.1m!! But then I sold the Deej for £850K and Mattock for £2m. Also brought in Richard Hughes the DM from Pompey who is pretty good, and Talal El Karkouri.
