The People's Hero Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 I bet your wife has to explain the offside rule on a regular basis. What I want to know is who explains in to the linesm errrrrr referrees' assistants in our division?
Flexx Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 This legend is a legend. i tells you! Is it a mandaric signing or a mourinho signing?
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 What I want to know is who explains in to the linesm errrrrr referrees' assistants in our division? Mark Clattenberg. EDIT: Or Mark Clattenberg-Gerrard-Benitez as I here he may soon be known
Boycie Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Hopefully he starts tonight, thats exactly what we need to partner Matty Fryatt. I can see the score tonight 3-1 Collins John getting one on the way.
Toby or not Toby Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 at last im excited by a signing! will hopefully bag a few and come permanantly! John and Fryatt/Campbell to start for me tonight!
Trumpet Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Hes propa mint on Fm hes gona score loadza goalz like! Good signing though
Geo V Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 at last im excited by a signing! will hopefully bag a few and come permanantly! John and Fryatt/Campbell to start for me tonight! I think a DJ/CJ partnership will cause loads of problems in this division.
Aeropars Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Why is everyone raging about him? Cant get in fulhams team and doesnt have a great record! Am i missing something?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Why is everyone raging about him? Cant get in fulhams team and doesnt have a great record! Am i missing something? Err. Yes he does.
The People's Hero Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Why is everyone raging about him? Cant get in fulhams team and doesnt have a great record! Am i missing something? The fact that he's got twice the ability and goal threat of any of the players currently on our books? He was Fulham's top scorer not so long ago, despite being sub most games. Additionally, he has scored some cracking goals in his time... so might get a few more punters down at the Walkers at least.
Aeropars Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Err. Yes he does. 20 odd in over 100 games for a striker isnt a great deal by any stretch of the imagination. I hope he proves me wrong but i dont think he's the answer to our prayers. The problem is creating an abundance of chances. A winger or better midfielder would have been more prudent in my opinion. I think we get no more then 2 or 3 clear cut chances a game. Yes we can argue that the strikers should take them but if you look at the leaders in all divisions they create loads of chances but dont take them all.
Simi Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 20 odd in over 100 games for a striker isnt a great deal by any stretch of the imagination. Don't let the fact that 60 of them are sub appearances cloud your view though ay?

He scored those goals in the Premiership for a mid-table to bottom side. You obviously didn't read how many of those appearances were as a substitute.
Stevosevic Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Birmingham were close to signing him in pre-season i believe?

No point bringing in any more wingers, we have stacks of them sitting round twiddling their thumbs wishing that they'd never come here. We could do with a bit of creativity in the middle, granted... even sensible suggestions of who might be available are few and far between though. I'd be tempted to have a go for Neil Danns, although describing him as a creative midfielder is pushing it a bit.

He is a handful and you have to remember he is stepping down a level. Im not saying he is teh best player in the world but at this level he`ll score goals a sthe defenders are slower and dont have anywhere near the quality he is used to playing against. Anyway you cant be too critical of Fulhams strikers as for starters they line up as a 451 and even £6m summer signing Kamara can hardly get a game never mind Collins John. He`ll do the business for us Im sure.

And Lawrie Sanchez has arguably already ballsed it up there.

You obviously didn't read how many of those appearances were as a substitute. But if he was so good I fail to see why he would be a substitute. Fulham are not great this season yet he still doesnt get in? I cant help but fell its like taking a striker from West Ham who really struggled last season (bar Tevez).
Nod.E Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 Our team is hard to score against what with Megson and his ways. Only problem is goalscoring. Cue Mr.Collins John. Bish bash bosh!

All an improvement on what we have and have/would score goals in this league.
Aeropars Posted 23 October 2007 Posted 23 October 2007 THey wouldnt be my first choice to be honest. I think harewood is a donkey. 1 good season and thats it!
