James. Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 In 9 months time I won't fit into this age bracket. And I don't even have a car.
Tommeh Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Get a polo mate, you know it makes sense. I've just got a used 1.4 which goes nicely, retains it value well, well built etc. Mines a 5 door and thats the only thing I'd change about it, 3 doors are waaayyyyy cooler With some of the cars you've listed, A3, Golf I think you'd get more for your money with a 03 onwards polo. Mines a P so you can forget one like mine as your budget is far superior But with getting an A3 or golf they maybe more basic models possibly missing Air con, alloys, even cd player. So what I'm trying to say you could get a top of the range 1.6/1.8 polo with a few extras on it for less than a basic golf/ A3
Guest Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 You have a convertible now though - and all the cool cats have convertibliiii. Even more cool if I was to ride topless.
Bert Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Even more cool if I was to ride topless. Yes, you would feel a lot colder.
The Reverend Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Even more cool if I was to ride topless. It would certainly be a bit nippy.
danny. Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 the "hot hatch" route seems a bit chavvy tho? Unless you are into that... My last 3 cars (I'm 25) have been an MG ZR (complete with chavvy sunscreen vinyl and green LEDs!), a smartBRABUS roadster (very fun but very impractical) and now an MG ZT. The ZT is the nicest car out the lot and beautiful to drive, although its an old man's car.. So the moral of the story, don't get any in the list, get a nice big old man's car like a Jaguar or a Passat or anything you can drive whilst wearing slippers!
Raj Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 Audi A3 or Ibiza if i were you. 3 door Audi A3Or the New 3 Door Corsa. A3 I got an A3. Im 36 and married! I no longer fit in that age bracket. Perhaps i should get a proper family car. OR bin the Mrs and go through my mid life crisis a little earlier!!!
Zingari Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 A3s are boring. No fun, no soul. they are ok if you want to get from portsmouth to london
Dr The Singh Posted 26 October 2007 Posted 26 October 2007 I had a ford escort between those years, I suppose any car with low insurance and a sporty edge would do!!

AoWW Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 A3 or Merc C Class coupe. Don't do it! And trust me, I do know what I'm on about when it comes to Mercs. I could go into details 'bout the C-class coupe but it'd be duller than summat very dull. Avoid!
lookwhaticando Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 Don't do it! And trust me, I do know what I'm on about when it comes to Mercs. I could go into details 'bout the C-class coupe but it'd be duller than summat very dull. Avoid! As dull as a three week old dog turd.
AoWW Posted 1 November 2007 Posted 1 November 2007 As dull as a three week old dog turd. Thanks to my personal analogy assistant.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 Thanks to my personal analogy assistant. That's nice of you to let him indulge in some analogy.
Kent Fox Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 Despite having no money, I'm considering selling (one) kidney and (one) lung to finance the purchase of an Audi RS4.Golf was something a few years ago - now all the pikeys have latched on to it. Fast becoming what was the Nova and then the Corsa and then even the pikeys got fed up of corsas and (previously) readily available finance led to the explosion of the pikey with the golf with a big exhaust glued on. I have a Golf - a 2.0 TDI 4-Motion Golf. I am NOT a pikey Get a Capri, best decision I ever made. I loved my Capri. It was blue and looked like an unmarked Police car. Sounded like one too when I had a siren fitted. Hockley Farm Road was my race track back then. PS: I did not live in Braunstone and have no association with the place whatsoever.
AoWW Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 That's nice of you to let him indulge in some analogy. hmm, i thought so.
Tabou Posted 2 November 2007 Posted 2 November 2007 I fit into this age range I am 20 in a couple of weeks. I am due for a new car in the next couple of weeks too. I have been looking at a 320d, or golf 2.0tdi. A3 shape hasn't grown on me. Golf is too popular. BMW's are for c*nts! (No offence anyone who owns one!! So , roll up new Alfa 159!!!! NB: Car is provided by my job, I dont rob old ladies.
