willy37 Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 sorry if this has been mentioned too often but what the hell is going on. Surely he deserves a chance in the first team above people like newton and stearman
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 You might think so, but as I'm not involved in the setup and have only seen those Kaebi vids on youtube I'm gonna reserve my judgement!
Babylon Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 sorry if this has been mentioned too often but what the hell is going on. Surely he deserves a chance in the first team above people like newton and stearman Firstly would you care to explain why you think he "deserves a chance"? You have watched a couple of youtube videos, the coaches and managers here work with him every day. Have you wondered that the reason he isn't playing could be because he actually just isn't good enough?
WetFlannel Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 OK has anyone considered he might not be that good!!!!!
Farhad Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Firstly would you care to explain why you think he "deserves a chance"? You have watched a couple of youtube videos, the coaches and managers here work with him every day. Have you wondered that the reason he isn't playing could be because he actually just isn't good enough? Surely a player who is good enough to cover Cristiano Ronaldo and Figo good is good enough to play for a Premier League club. I have seen enough matches of Kaebi to say for sure that he deserves a lot more than 15 minutes playing time for the first team of Leicester City... I don't understand Leicester City, they were pleased with the signing of Kaebi and from what I heard from the reports he was doing well in the training session but instead of getting playing time with the first team he was playing for the reserve team.. I hope he will play for Leicester City and becomes one of the stars there because I personally like Leicester City myself and it would be cool to have an Iranian player playing for this club.
Babylon Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 No offense to Leicester City but a player who is good enough to cover Cristiano Ronaldo and Figo good is good enough to play for a Premier League club.I have seen enough matches of Kaebi to say for sure that he deserves a lot more than 15 minutes playing time for the first team of Leicester City... I don't understand Leicester City, they were pleased with the signing of Kaebi and from what I heard from the reports he was doing well in the training session but instead of getting playing time with the first team he was playing for the reserve team.. No offense to you but that was one game. You haven't seen him play at this level of football before so you have no idea of how good he can be in this country. He couldn't even get a game for your country during the Asian Cup. Iran are currently ranked 38th in the world, that's lower than Japan and only two places better than Mali. You are capable of the odd good game but you just don't have the quality. So to say after a good performance against one good team, and some good performances against frankly rubbish teams in the asian cup that he is good enough for the premier is Crazy. Northern Ireland are above you in the rankings and not many of their players play in the premier. IF he is good enough he will play... end of story.
Wils Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 OK has anyone considered he might not be that good!!!!! No.
Wezleylowski Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 sorry if this has been mentioned too often but what the hell is going on. Surely he deserves a chance in the first team above people like newton and stearman He is injured.
MPH Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 sorry if this has been mentioned too often but what the hell is going on. Surely he deserves a chance in the first team above people like newton and stearman If we win, his absence doesnt bother me at all. . fickle, i know...
Wezleylowski Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 AND SHIT I will be the judge of that when/if he gets a game. If he doesnt then i will assume he is worse than Carl Cort.
Webbo Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 We've had 2 managers and 2 caretaker managers not pick him. If the next manager doesn't pick him can we all agree that he's not good enough and put this to bed once and for all.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Ka'abi has had the disadvantage of not having a pre-season run out, so is still an unknown quantity really. I think it's unfair to judge him in light of a few reserve games and an appearance at the World Cup. In the fifteen minutes he played against Watford he looked reasonably sharp, and I do think he'll get his chance eventually.
syston_fox Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I went down to the training ground on Thursday and don't expect to see Kaebi any time soon!! Him and Ferreira were both training with the youth team while even the likes of Sappleton were getting a run out with the first team squad.

I have been following Iranian football for years now, so I'm sure I do know a little more about the level than you do. Kaebi was chosen as one of top 50 biggest talents by FIFA. He didn't play in the Asian Cup because the coach had personal problems with him, even Kazemian who was responsible for our win against Uzbekistan almost didn't get any playing time after that match, except of the Asian Cup, Kaebi has always been a key player of the Iranian national team. The NT of Iran has played some good matches against good teams, like Germany for example, Kaebi was also one of the better performers in that match, you're telling me that the level of the second division of England, Leicester City's level is the same as Germany's NT?? First follow some more football and then make your conclusions.

Who'd be sitting there thinking, that lad's absolutely mint but we'll leave him out for Stears. No one. Get your head straight mate, Nationalistic yes, sensible, no.

He already stated hes followed the Iranian team for years. Correct me if i'm wrong but i think thats more than one game.
ronnup Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 He already stated hes followed the Iranian team for years. Correct me if i'm wrong but i think thats more than one game. What's that got to do with what I said?
Jimmy Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 if he's good enough he WILL get his chance, i would like to see him given a go but i have to say it would be unfair to drop Stearman from the RWB role atm, his best hope may be if we revert to 4-4-2 under the new boss, whoever that may be...
Babylon Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I have been following Iranian football for years now, so I'm sure I do know a little more about the level than you do. The level of football is rubbish, end of story. It doesn't matter how long you have been following it. The NT of Iran has played some good matches against good teams, like Germany for example, Kaebi was also one of the better performers in that match, you're telling me that the level of the second division of England, Leicester City's level is the same as Germany's NT?? Like I already said anyone is capable of having a good game, just because he has a couple of ok games doesn't mean he has the right to walk into a premier league team!!! Northern Ireland beat England... doesn't mean there players are actually any good!!!! He isn't that good, if he was he'd be playing and he would of gone to a bigger team. He isn't and hasn't!!!!
Simon Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 I will be the judge of that when/if he gets a game. If he doesnt then i will assume he is worse than Carl Cort. Is that ACTUALLY possible right now?
Father Ted Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Another thread on Kaebi NOTE FOR MILAN MANDARIC/GERRY OR FRANK/NEW NANAGER Give him a go and then so much space on this forum would be saved and we would have peace amongst our 1,000,000 Iranian followers.

If you give people a go on the basis of random selection you might as well pick people off the street. Let him earn his "go" like everyone else.

I've seen enough games to say that he's not good enough. He's had stacks of time with Leicester City Reserves and he's shone just the once. So where you get your case from I've no idea, unless you're his brother, agent, or a family member in which case I'll remind you that others want their chance too.
Daz.I Posted 27 October 2007 Posted 27 October 2007 Stearmans been having decent consistent games I admit but I do think this guy has a lot to offer our club.
