Ozwin Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 I'm not reading 12 pages of posts, what's kicking off now? Is it deffo on? Or is it just 12 pages of 'Yays?'
maddog Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 Tigana was great at Fulham and has a good record. Has amazing experience. He is the only manager i would really want us to get who has experience. If we don't get Tigana which i think we won't it has to be Steve Walsh. Go for a great manager like Tigana, if we fail go for a rookie who could prove the next Lewis Hamilton and guide us to 2nd in the Championship losing by a point Walshy
kendalfox Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 Its an unsubstantiated rumour. The original poster has not revealed his source therefore must be treated with caution. The sports media have not reported anything about Tigana joining Leicester. If a lone city fan knows about it then it would be reasonable to assume that a few sports writers and journos would also know (bearing in mind they would have many more contacts than the average Foxes fan) and would be reporting the news. In these cases the papers usually know the score before the official announcement. Its been 24 hours since this broke and the silence from any corner apart from this forum is deafening. Thats not to say that Tigana won't be the next manager but I've sat through too many threads where we get some numtie spouting off rumours as fact. Judging from MM's statement last weekend he hadn't got any closer despite interviewing a few candidates last week (including Tigana) and was taking this week off to sort out what he was going to do. I for one am glad MM is taking some time to make a decision rather than rushing into employing another waste of space. I guess we're just going to have to wait.
bluebeau Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 Hang on there guys! What's all the excitement about? I mean, what the foxing hell did he achieve with Fulham apart getting the bullet from Mohammed Al-Fayed? Then again, I would sooner have him than all the other has beens that have been linked with the football club, i.e. Reid, Royle, Souness, Dowie, etc. But please, CALM DOWN DEARS, it's only a game!! We could do a lot worse than Steve Cotterill or Ian Holloway.

Can anyone put the latest betting odds on our new manager and to reply to this post I dont think we could any worse than get cotterill as manager.

Asha Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 When is this supposed to be announced? When footballers have been replaced by robots, or when Tigana has finished his sig. Whichever comes first i guess.... Hang on there guys! What's all the excitement about? I mean, what the foxing hell did he achieve with Fulham apart getting the bullet from Mohammed Al-Fayed? Mort Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 I'm really worried that folks are getting a little too excited by whats little more than a vague rumor... i've seen nothing to suggest any less or more evidence than he's a candidate for the job who's been sounded out, of course Royale distancing himself from the job could suggest someone else has already been singled out for it (Tigana?) could also just be to better position himself for the Wigan post and then we've got to assume that Tigana would be interested in us and we arent just going to be landed with someone from the Reid-Newell-Cotteril bracket...

morris1234 Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 I promise nothing, except free flowing, but striking, possession seamless now amounting football league - translated on google translator, doesnt make aazing sense but get the jist!
Bryn Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 Je promets à rien, excepté couler libre, but marquant, possession sans couture maintenant, le football s'élevant de ligue In English "I promise nothing, except free flowing, goal scoring, seamlessly maintained possession (I think that maintenant refers to the -ing form of the verb maintenir, to maintain, rather than "now"), football which elevates itself up the league". We probably wouldn't structure the sentence like that in English but you get the picture.

My grammar is probably cack... but that's the gist of it.
