NorthernFox Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Bridge was utter garbage tongith. I've normally been a fan of his but if you were giving ratings out of 10 he would be at the most a 2! He did nothing right, even his long throws were crap.Tactics were complete shit - we showed that with a 4-4-2 (even with a not so great striker on in Defoe) that we were far better in every aspect of the game because it is the formation we're used to! All in all, Croatia tactically anihilated us this evening and played us off the very muddy wet park. Well done to them and Bilic really looks like he has great potential to be a managerial great. Wouldn't think a snidy fiver on them to win the tournament would go amiss. Spot on. Never have I been as embarrassed to watch such a talentless performance as this. Give DB credit, put a bit pride and energy in for 15 mins, but WHY O WHY did we not defend AT ALL for the whole game????? Sorry but won't watch next year...
Joe. Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 What did Crouch do tonight? Bar his goal? Held it up pretty nicely, brought others into play. Won virtually every header too. He was the only one who can take some credit in my opinion.
Rocky Dennis Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Don't you think tonight's performace was taking the piss out of us Absolutely. Football is ruined i fear!! I wonder what the weekly earnings are for those group of players?
Jack Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Absolutely.Football is ruined i fear!! I wonder what the weekly earnings are for those group of players? Too much, that is for sure.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Anyone else proper fed up with international football, overated for me Championship is were its at On a serious note tonight has left me with some severe bad taste in my mouth. I have used the word abject twice already tonight but that is the word that sums England up at the minute. Bringing Carson in was a massive mistake for me, should of stuck with Robbo, especially given the conditions. Playing Crouch on his tod upfront was another blunder. Traditional English football is based around 4-4-2 and I'm sure Defoe could have done a job alongside Sticks. The 4-1-2-3 random shitty formation we played was never gonna work and we were always going to be exposed. We just didn't do the basics tonight. I am disgusted.
Jack Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Anyone else proper fed up with international football, overated for me Makes two of us then. FACT we are the most over rated national side in the world, We live off '66 and have done nothing since, so i don't know how we can be called a 'Big team'.
AyewJoking Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I've got no sympathy for England. We were given a second chance and we blew it.
C-man Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Scott Carson - fooking Useless, good save second half though... Wayne Bridge - fooking Useless Micah Richards - fooking Useless Joleon Lescott - fooking Useless Slow Campbell - fooking Useless Joe Cole - fooking Useless Steven Gerrard - fooking Useless Gareth Barry - fooking Useless Frank Lampard - fooking Useless Shaun Wright-Phillips - fooking Argh Peter Crouch - fooking Meh Steve McClaren - Why? Why? Why did you take this job? How did you fool the F.A. into getting this job? Why? The F.A. - Please wake up and smell the coffee. McClaren must go, so must Barwick and the rest of the fooking useless wankers at Soho Square. Trevor Brooking can fook off n all. Lets get some people who are dynamic and want to bring English football into the 21st Century.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 I like Carson and think he has the potential to be a great keeper, but his mistake only highlighted the fact that Robert Green (who has been playing out of his skin for West Aaaaaaammmmmmm) should have been our No.1 tonight.

I'm not sure they'd have any sparkle if you sat em all in electric chairs and switched the power on.

Yes i agree i think Carson has the potential to be a good keeper. Again you have to question Mclarens decision on putting an unexperienced player in like him in such a big game. The lad has hardly played regualr first team football before this year and the risk simply did not pay off tonight and it cost us.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Plus McClaren is GINGER... (no offence to any gingers out there) GINGER has no place in football management..
filbertway Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Held it up pretty nicely, brought others into play. Won virtually every header too. He was the only one who can take some credit in my opinion. Every time I saw the ball go near him , sure he headed it, no good if he heads it to the croats though. I remmebered another thing, that pass to SWP. 2 things I can count to be honest.
Bert Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Just so it doesn't get lost Why don't you get lost? Go and play with your boomerang or something
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Just so it doesn't get lost Go and lose to some non-team like Iraq or something
C-man Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Dynamic English coaches? I'm not sure they'd have any sparkle if you sat em all in electric chairs and switched the power on. Not just the coaches, people above that aswell. Someone who isn't afraid to make a decision about getting rid of some foreign players would be useful.

Any kind of quota idea on foreign talent would be quashed because of some kind of EU rule/regulation.

Manwell Pablo Posted 21 November 2007 Posted 21 November 2007 Just so it doesn't get lost I'd like to remind you Patrick Kisnorbo plays for national team
