Back to the topic, the poor lady has been sentenced for 15 days, 5 of which she has served, so it's sort of a compromise, it will keep the hardliners happy!! I beleive she has been caught up in something bigger, tehre is an opnion in may Muslim nations that the west constantly insult there prophet, this will be seen as a punishment to the west!!!

I will say another thing though there are many brits in other nations (non muslim) that have been imprisoned for alot less and are have been held indefinitely, in a lot worse conditions, without any evidence of wrong doing, I don't see Gordon or the Foriegn Office showing the same interest......the power of the media dictates wht politicians do............

Here's an example, there are many more like this:

This guy a folk singer form the west mids a British citizen was arrested and charged for terrorist activities, was totured in prison, and is still awaiting trial IN JAIL for nearly a year now. Although the police have no hard evidence, and I quote have been lying and have been caught planting the evidence agains the accused, is still awaiting justice!!

The guy did not insult anyone, any religion all he did was sing songs about the problems in punjab!!!

QUOTES

the accused is now paying a high price for speaking out in a region of India where human rights groups are often refused access.

'Within 24 hours Indian reporters had unearthed discrepancies in the evidence...

Not only did the police repeatedly alter exactly where they had arrested the three men, but during a second press conference held by the authorities the next day, they said they had in fact not found the explosives in Mr Singh's car but in a haystack on land near his farm in the village of Gakhal.

Doubts were soon cast on those accusations when local reporters went to Mr Singh's village immediately after the press conference and could not find a single villager that had seen a policeman for more than a week. Protests soon erupted outside the prison nearby demanding the three men's release.

Further suspicions about the police evidence were then published after a woman claimed two days later that she had seen police digging a hole in the haystack near Mr Singh's farm, trying to make it look like they had found the weapons cache'

Our wonderful PM, who was chancellor at that time, was on going on a visit to India, was asked to intervene, and did he.............

yes that is a good example  and indeed these cases need to be more publicised and i really cannot see why this has not been more headlined in the news , perhaps there is a hidden agenda of who we want to demonise

He'd thrash the conventional Christian 'God' in almost every department.

Bring it.

That's only because he could sneak up under water (having disguised his trunk as some kind of aquatic plant)

Your Muslim God would kick his ****ing arse.

I think you've got confused, I don't have a muslim god, I have a plant (an eggplant) named Mohammad.

Actually, I'm not sure eggplant is a plant. Or an egg. I tell you what it certainly isn't though, an Islam god thing. You're thinking of Allah, I think.

You talk rubbish allah the time.

the moral of the story is, folk singers should get in bother abroad when labour are expecting a bit of bother.

It's from TB, it had to be shared...

She shoulda been more culturally aware. Having said that, this is beyond ridiculous from the Sudanese government. Common sense has gone straight down the sink.
