OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Ref has cancelled Kisnorbo's red card (OS) Great. We pay for refs mistake. Cheers Ref.
James. Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 What about the points? Is he going to rescind 2 of them off Ipswich and give 1 to us?
Head Honcho Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 at least he'll be available for saturday then Kisnorbo or the ref?
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH Assistant, blame the assistant!!! If you have some twat in your ear who claims to have had a better view than you telling you to give a penalty and a sending off your quite likely to follow his advice, unfortunatley.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHAssistant, blame the assistant!!! If you have some twat in your ear who claims to have had a better view than you telling you to give a penalty and a sending off your quite likely to follow his advice, unfortunatley. Partly yes but it's still the ref's responsibility to give the red card and he could have judged whether he was the last man.
The People's Hero Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 It seems it isn't too hard, Too blame the referee for this card, His assistant's to blame, Time to name and shame, While Milan smuggles in Vincent Pericard.
Thracian Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 And has the ref been demoted and banned for three months? And is the game to be replayed to a fair outcome? And is the referees assistant being allowed to remain in football? What a pity those officials couldn't do their thinking during the match instead of afterwards. None of what they did was right or necessary. If referees can only get decisions right after looking at a video WHY can't they look at the video when it's needed?
mancunianfox Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 I'm glad that even the ref has realised that Kisnorbo shouldn't have been sent off, but its nothing compared to the damage he and his assistant did last night. Disgraceful.

Mate, I ain't defending the refs diabolical decision but they are human beings too. Forget the pro level, try being a ref at Vicky Park football and it ain't a straight forward job. Mistakes are bound to happen and last night we were the victims unfortunately. At least the ref from last night came out and admitted he was wrong, unlike others.

I can see that supporting city, Is responsible for acerbicity, I'd like to suggest, You give it a rest, And ask Ultra if you can borrow a fittie.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Partly yes but it's still the ref's responsibility to give the red card and he could have judged whether he was the last man. Well apparently the Assistant told it was a red card for a proffesional foul on the last man. whats he suppose to do if, say, he's had his view blocked by Alan Lees flowing locks.
Fat Ron Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Anyone do the Football survey on another thread? Improve the standard of Refereeing... Too ****ing right!! Im against Video replays being used in games but am all for making referees professional thus accountable for their actions. If they get the correct training and regular referee conferences/courses then the standard will improve and the less mistakes will be made. Its inevitable that there would still be the odd one or two errors, that's human nature but the game would only benefit. That's 2 penalty decisions that have cost us games since Ollie has been here.. cnuts.
Fox in a Box Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 swings and roundabouts..... it was 1-1 at the time... I do hope that we get the luck next time but it evens up over a season. fine the ref thou!

The People's Hero Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 If the ref's decision makes you all so sick, Why not express it through a limerick, You'll never dethrone, The maestro from Maidstone, But rhyme's the best way to give stick.
Floating Fox Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Partly yes but it's still the ref's responsibility to give the red card and he could have judged whether he was the last man. If you ask me, he was the last man. Or at least, from where I was in the stadium. Having read the reports Mcauley was close, but, for me Kizza was the last man.

Or at least, from where I was in the stadium.Having read the reports Mcauley was close, but, for me Kizza was the last man. The reason for rescinding the card was that Kisnorbo won the ball fairly, so even if Kisnorbo was the last man it shouldn't have mattered. Shouldn't have reacted how he did but can't blame him really.

Phlashman Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 I think if a ref is going to give a red card or a pen, which is obviously going to effect the game and usual takes up a few minutes with all the complaining and the like, the forth official should have a look at a replay to double check, then if he thinks it was dodgy he can call the ref over for a look, if not he doesn't need to interrupt play.
SamL Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Yeah I agree it was never a red card mate, was just quoting fez, that really you can't blame the ref for giving it. Yeah I know mate. It was a poor decision and it was clearly outside the area. I suppose that would be an advantage of video replays if they are ever bought in. Hard for a referee to make spur of the moment decisions but if a ref gives a corner then he should stick by his decision rather than allow the linesman to change his mind.

Wonder if the ref being from Notts had any bearing, surely if you were a trees fan even subconsciously this would effect your decision
Guest Posted 12 December 2007 Posted 12 December 2007 Sometimes, being right is cruel. Oh well, at least I didn't vent my spleen and fall out with the hubby for nothing then.

Like Manwell said, if you've got some twat in your ear claiming he's got a better view, you have to give it, and from where I was he looked like last man. Can't knock the ref, and I don't agree with video replays for penalties, that'b daft.
