davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I've done two polls one for those that went and one for those that watched on TV so do us a BIG favour make sure you pick the correct one and dont fook it up!!!! This is the TV PUNDITS POLL
backinthebigtime Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I agree, Kisnorbo had a solid enough game (Apart from the fact he was the wrong side of his man for the goal.....)
Jonezy Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Voted Stearman. Thought he was impressive today, winning tackles all game long and their left flank was pretty quitet all game. Also he has been horrendous the last few times, that I have seen him. If Olli can get this out of him, we might have a pretty good player after all....
RowlattsFox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Stearman or Kisnorbo for me, but i've gone for Stearman.
shen Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Chambers. Had we had 3 of him instead of N'Gotty and Clemence, we probably would have pinched it. He completely outshone the others in midfield. Wolves were almost as dire as us offensively, so what McAuley and Kisnorbo had to deal with was mostly high balls (and we know that they excel in the air).
Ultra Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 It was indeed Stearman's best game for some time, though he nearly spoiled it with a flailing arm on Jarvis which could easily have earned him a red card. Hume was MOM though. He was immense in the first half and could have had more than just the one goal.
Matt Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Well i'm shocked, I don't think there's been many times this season I could praise Stearman, Let alone vote him MOM, but fair play he played well today, Keep it up Stearman, but please don't go back to your big headed, thinking your better than everyone else, laziness that we have seen over the past 2 seasons.
Tevez Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 N'Gotty, he dealt with Olofinjana very well. Unsung Hero.
Thracian Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I had Stearman and Hume as joint MoM. But, given only one option I've gone for Stearman. I thought his 90-minute performance was excellent including when under increasing pressure as Wolves committed more fast-passing footballers to attack. Even with the contest at its fiercest Stearman never stopped trying to offer support to our attacks and defensively, even when an opponent eluded him, he was swift ,determined to recover and almost always won the second tackle.
lee7 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 close between hume and stearman but hume gets it for me.
Joe. Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I picked Hume although I did think Stearman did OK. My only bug with Stearman: I'm sure it was him who ran forward unnecessarily for their goal and left two Wolves players open to run free unmarked. I think it was him, can't be too sure though.

I think it was him, can't be too sure though. People often coomplain about this but i'm sure that's what he is instructed to do otherwise he would be stopped. Fullbacks generally do this it's up to the two CB and the other full back to stay back, moving over a bit and covering. Because of his height he often goes up for corners, unfortunately if the oppo clears it and breaks quickly he's also caught out of position and gets castigated for it but he just doing as he's told. Having said that he can be a bit slow sometimes.

NorthernFox Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 As I said at half time I was very impressed with Stearman today. Looked and played like a proper full-back. Easily my MOM.
Linekaaaah Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Stearman was excellent today, a massive improvement on his recent performance. Definitely MOM. Even the 10yr old was impressed.
Matt Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 All I hope is that Stearman (And other players in the team) didn't play well and make sure it was a good performance just to book there place in the team/squad past January. Although i'm sure if that is the case and come January there suddenly, coincidently let performances drop, they'll be out the team, They ain't been dropped in the past due to poor performances but I think Ollie would drop underachieving players, or i'd hope so.
davieG Posted 22 December 2007 Author Posted 22 December 2007 How come there's always some bright spark voting in these polls. Hayes on the pitch for less than 10 mins and is voted MOM by someone.
Tommy G Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Stearman. Solid and showed good effort in the tackle. Kisnorbo solid by some people? He was stationary for the Wolves goal, school boy error
shen Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Stearman. Solid and showed good effort in the tackle. Kisnorbo solid by some people? He was stationary for the Wolves goal, school boy error Harsh to say he's at fault though. Made up a lot of ground to catch Jarvis and got caught up in two minds: Mark Jarvis or cover for N'Gotty (who got skinned by Keogh with ridiculous ease!).
Simi Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Harsh to say he's at fault though. Made up a lot of ground to catch Jarvis and got caught up in two minds: Mark Jarvis or cover for N'Gotty (who got skinned by Keogh with ridiculous ease!). As did everyone of our players when they ran at him. None of our defenders are able to defend against people running at them with pace. Even Mattock had problems with it in the throughout the game.
Geo V Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Kisnorbo did well for me and just gets my vote although Stearman had a solid game and Clemence was quietly effective making some telling interceptions and blocks.
Micky Ruddle Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 Hume. Worked well with Fryatt last night. Very well indeed. Fair play to Stearz, he did have a good game himself, despite the abuse he has been getting.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 I'm suprised Chambers is getting as much of the vote as he is - although he tried, he was non-existant for long periods, and his passing was woeful. Ok, he's out of postion, but it wasn't a great performance in my opinion. But I agree with the Stearman comments - I had to think twice when I voted him MOM, just because i thought I'd surely get a slatting - but was pleased to see others saw his work too. One other thing - god ain't we dull to watch! Time wasting from the 5th minute onwards!
