Sooper Steve's shin Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Has Clemence picked up anything from his old man? Could solve our problems! Re. Fulop, I think he will be signing for another club by the end of this week. The more I think about it, the less likely it seems that he is coming to us. It would be particularly harsh of Sunderland to recall him just to bump the price up a bit - they are not that short of cash and I don't see why they would generate ill-feeling with another club unnecessarily. If they are seriously negotiating with us, why not let us keep him as the longer we have him the more we depend on him. Still, at least we have the whole of January to do something about it now. If he's not staying, then better this way than recall him in the first week of February when we can do nothing about a replacement. If I was Holloway, I would be lining up a decent loan keeper ASAP and work on getting the right long-term goalie in the summer.
Flynny Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 I think Fulop wants to come to this club, The club wants Fulop BUT Roy Keane clearly knows f**k all about transfer fees judging by his purchases so I would be worried to be fair It'll be Quinn we're dealing with. I think we'll get him. So long as we match any other offers, he'll want to come back, surely?
Fox in a Box Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Whatever it costs, sign him- He is very good indeed and I would imagine he is worth 12pts a season. and thats quite alot for us at the moment, offload the garbage and get him in at all costs. Roy Keane Ex forest cockadoodledoo.....
stevie909 Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 if we don't sign fulop i will shoot roy keane on sight. this is very bad news...
C.J Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Bollocks Why do Sunderland want him, their 1st choics goalie cost 9 million and they've got another kid whos starting to play now. Fullop wont get a game with them, he's clearly better off signing for us. Is this somthing to do with that **** Allens clause he agreed to put in his contract when we signed him on loan?
potter3 Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Thought it was confirmation of hiom singing for us when I rread the thread title.
The Stig Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 He's worth 2 Million IMO. GET HIM IN. He's also young so he'll last us years.
MC Prussian Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Text from the club's text service; Bravo - and who's going to replace him? Henderson?
Nick Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Thought it was confirmation of hiom singing for us when I rread the thread title. Sunderland are in for Hunt (Reading) and Savage amongst others and need the cash as a result. They are game playing and quite simply are after 1.5+ for a lad they didn't actually want to sell though settled for a loan deal to keep him happy. They will link him with several other clubs over the next three days (which he won't agree terms with or probably even speak to) and then he'll come to us for 1.4- 1.6 million or thereabouts after Milan watches tomorrows "in nets performance". Of all the places we need strength on the park this is no place to make cuts or settle, Fulop for me is worth 1.5 million as he appears to be one of say, 'three' that might cut it in the prem week in week out. I'd be surprised if MM goes to 2 million, though I wouldn't be disappointed with the result. N.
spirefox Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Had a text from a mate that another forum says Bolton are in for him.Megson obviously liked what he saw.
Ashley Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Imo Fulop should of been our first signing. What ever it cost's sign him please.
Father Ted Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Had a text from a mate that another forum says Bolton are in for him.Megson obviously liked what he saw. Please no. And anyway they have Jaasekainen Although he has been linked with a move away and their second choice goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi aint to bad either And Megson is a Tw at.

Asha Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Whatever it takes Within reason. No point being held to ransom. There's no point wasting January's transfer budget when the rest of the team still needs sorting out.
The Reverend Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 We need this fella. Hopefully, Hendo makes 3 howlers and we win 4-3, Howard hat trick Might make Milan think about it a bit more. But he isnt stupid, is Milan. He knows what hes doing.
Babylon Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 But he isnt stupid, is Milan. He knows what hes doing. He is yet to prove it!!!
The Reverend Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 He is yet to prove it!!! Portsmouth? OK, so you mean whats he done here? Well, hes backed all his managers with money, what more can they ask?!
shrood Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 Had a text from a mate that another forum says Bolton are in for him.Megson obviously liked what he saw Would be a strange move by Megson. Jaaskelainen is a very capable keeper and probably one of the only positions they don't need to strengthen. They're in a relegation battle, surely they should spend their cash on the vitals rather than substitute keepers.

will_lcfc Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 So has he already been recalled or can he play tomorrow ? According to the Sunderland website, he's been recalled and will return on Thursday (can't play for us tomorrow though). Come on Milan .... get the chequebook out ! Fulop has been the best keeper here for years !
dandannieldanok Posted 31 December 2007 Posted 31 December 2007 We need this fella. Hopefully, Hendo makes 3 howlers and we win 4-3, Howard hat trick Or hopefully Hendo plays spectaculary well and we can spend the money elsewhere, surely that would be more beneficial?
