dandannieldanok Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Hamilton extremely lucky to get through to Q1, he wouldn't have made it if Alonso had no mechanical gremlins.
isaidno Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I actually felt sorry for Alonso, would have been right at the front
AoWW Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Track looks amazing. Rain is still predicted and, knowing Singapore at this time of year, if it rains - it's really gonna rain. Should be good....
Asha Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Looking forward to this. Very awkward though that dinner's always at 1. So I find out the result half an hour later than everyone else. <_<

Asha Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I'll do you a swap - I'll eat your Sunday lunch and you can watch my TV. I want my Sunday lunch, just half an hour earlier.
AoWW Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I want my Sunday lunch, just half an hour earlier. Pfft, you could at least share it. Tell yer Mum you're extra hungry and get me a doggie bag. I love proper Sunday dinners - can't remember the last time I had one though.
Samilktray Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Im actually watching todays race, curiosity got the better of me so I wanted to see the night race. Dissapointed to be honest, expected it to be different but I may well keep it on. (Unless The Eastenders omnibus persuades me otherwise)

(Unless The Eastenders omnibus persuades me otherwise) This makes you a real man.
Samilktray Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 This makes you a real man. Of course it does. You dont realise just how quick these cars are until you watch them, crikey they can go.
Wycombe Fox Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Massa & Ferrari Should get a penalty for that! Unsafe release - AGAIN!!!
AoWW Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Gotta hate those mechanics. Oi, where's my doggie bag? I'm huuuunnnnngggggrrryyyyyyy.
Brainy Posted 28 September 2008 Author Posted 28 September 2008 Great race. Hopefully they'll stick with just one night race per season, oterhwise it might lose it's appeal. I love Ferrari cock ups
Legend_in_blue Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Well, after that one, Ferrari International Aid (the FIA) are going to have their hands full with that one. Fines and penalties should be coming quickly over to Ferrari within the next couple of days. Some sort of fine is in order for their pitlane fiasco - although it was great from a comical point of view. And surely some sort of penalty is in order for Massa who almost caused a nasty pile up after he slid into the wall, just before the tunnel. Didn't even look as he took off again and he caused that Force India to hit the wall as he had nowhere else to go. Not to mention who was behind him. Bet the Ferrari mechanics wished their garage wasn't at the other end of the pitlane straight now! That was funny. In that heat, in all the pitlane gear though, must have been a tough run down there. I'm glad the mechanic was ok though, at first I thought 'oh no' but then when he got up ok and his fellow colleagues ran down the pitlane, it was all too easy to see the funny side. For me, Ferrari got what they deserved for being let off the hook in Belgium.
Floating Fox Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Quite enjoyed that. Something different, good race, strange podium too. Excellent.

Uncle Albert Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I actually didnt enjoy the race to be honest, didnt like it with all the lights on and I dont really like street races anyway. Roll on Japan.
Jimmy Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I actually didnt enjoy the race to be honest, didnt like it with all the lights on and I dont really like street races anyway. Roll on Japan. same I found it as boring as most Monaco GPs, nothing happening except around pit stops, like the night race idea but on a purpose built track next time please
Brainy Posted 28 September 2008 Author Posted 28 September 2008 Night race at Fuji or Singapore? Only one answer for me. The circuit will probably be changed slightly for next year, just like Valencia will be. With Fuji it'd just be the lights with nothing appealing in the background, except Mount Fuji. The spectacle was just terrific, I loved it.
syston_fox Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Quite enjoyed that. Something different, good race, strange podium too. Excellent. Yeah my feelings too - when the guy fell over trying to catch the bottle of champagne
Father Ted Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Yeah my feelings too - when the guy fell over trying to catch the bottle of champagne The guy at Renault!?!? Hilarious, and then he goes chasing after it and hardly anything's left in it!
