Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 You'll be creaming youself if "we" pull it off? You can do it yourself like the rest of us young man. I can't claim to speak for anybody else but I for one am not touching the dirty little thing. Shilton haha how goes the Love square?
Thracian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 He is QUALITY in this division. He and Clemence will boss most games. If these wingers are any good, it's suddenly looking up. I haven't seen Clemence bossing one game so far so what's suddenly going to change? Not that I wouldn't feel encouraged by Oakley signing.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I haven't seen Clemence bossing one game so far so what's suddenly going to change? Not that I wouldn't feel encouraged by Oakley signing. He wont have to babysit King or Wesolowski (sorry couldn't resist)
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I haven't seen Clemence bossing one game so far so what's suddenly going to change? Not that I wouldn't feel encouraged by Oakley signing. Personal Obviously. And as Manwell said he wont have to worry about Wesolowski's Calcium intake.
Thracian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 He wont have to babysit King or Wesolowski (sorry couldn't resist) I've seen nothing to suggest Clemence is as good as either.
Toby or not Toby Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Clemence hasn't had a settled central midfield partner with him all season, or even settled wingersfully with the two wingers and oakely signing we will have some much needed balance and quality in the team and clemnce will start to shine.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I've seen nothing to suggest Clemence is as good as either. Your free to see what you want to see. We complete this signing hopefully by mid to late February when all is settled down, assuming these Hungarians can play, we'll be scoreing goals, at last.
mancunianfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I haven't seen Clemence bossing one game so far so what's suddenly going to change? Not that I wouldn't feel encouraged by Oakley signing. You are so predictable!
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I've seen nothing to suggest Clemence is as good as either. could we expect anything less from you. Deluded to say the least.
STUHILL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Still can't believe Derby are letting him go for 500k, I wouldn't have thought twice even if cost same as Howard, would still have thought a good buy. 500k just puts icing on cake and plus Derby fans must be thinking what's going on!! HAHA
davieG Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I am utterly shocked that there appears to be some form of posotivity toward City and Ian Holloway!! Not so long ago there were threads started such as This, this, and this Oh and This.. At least he is doing what he said he would do, change the personel & attitude of the squad. This, I dont know about the other links but are you incapable of spotting a piss take
Geordie Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I haven't seen Clemence bossing one game so far so what's suddenly going to change? Not that I wouldn't feel encouraged by Oakley signing. Neither would Rino Gatusso if he was paired with full backs, injury prone yoots and that one paced Welsh lad. I would think, that seeing as both played in the midfield for 2 promoted Clubs they would be a bit better than the current options we have.
STUHILL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I've seen nothing to suggest Clemence is as good as either. Clemence was one of Brums standout midfielders last season, I know he hasn't produced the goods so far for us but I can't blame him with all the shite thats been going on and players around him. Thracian will never be happy unless we play whole of acadamy side. I'm so bored of it all.
Fat Ron Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 This,I dont know about the other links but are you incapable of spotting a piss take I spotted it.. Just not too impressed by it
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I am utterly shocked that there appears to be some form of posotivity toward City and Ian Holloway!! Not so long ago there were threads started such as This, this, and this Oh and This.. At least he is doing what he said he would do, change the personel & attitude of the squad. I started a couple of threads too. 'Open message to the club' and 'Worst Leicester side I've ever seen'. I think they're fully vindicated by the fact Olly has gone out and brought in a new keeper and practically an entirely new midfield since I started both of those. If we'd stuck with the right-backs in midfield, we'd have gone down. At least now we have a good chance of staying up. Because that team that played against QPR and Southampton WAS the worst Leicester team I've ever seen, something Olly has recognised and sought to put right. Fingers crossed it works.
davieG Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I spotted it.. Just not too impressed by it Impressed or not you obviously completed missed it's concept - Whooooooooooosh!
Bert Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I've seen nothing to suggest Clemence is as good as either. He's better. Weso 0 goals. King 1 goal. Clem 2 goals, most GOALSCORING assists in the team.
Fat Ron Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Impressed or not you obviously completed missed it's concept - Whooooooooooosh! Nope.. I didnt. Whooooooooooosh!
Stevosevic Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I personally think Wesolowski is the most over-rated youngster we've had. People always refer to this outstanding performance against Celtic...it was a friendly two and a half years ago. Clemence and Oakley have to be first choice.
Thracian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Neither would Rino Gatusso if he was paired with full backs, injury prone yoots and that one paced Welsh lad.I would think, that seeing as both played in the midfield for 2 promoted Clubs they would be a bit better than the current options we have. How predictable. Just like Fryatt before him, there's excuses for Clemence but those around him get the blame! And all because of some ancient history. I never said Clemence had never been any good in the past. Truth is he left Birmingham because they couldn't guarantee him a place. And so far, from what I've seen, I can understand why. If his form suddenly chases great. But Clemence presumably came here because we did guarantee him a place. And that's fine if he's the best alternative. But so far he's not looked it to me.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 He's better. Weso 0 goals. King 1 goal. Clem 2 goals, most GOALSCORING assists in the team. I think Tharc's been at the brandy tbh.

Apart from his debut, and only for a short spell, King and the injury prone Aussie are out of their depth, so if you want to persit with that then we can all enjoy at trip to Hartlepool next season. Me I would rather go with the quality and experience of the club captain and the current captain of the shaggers.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I actually did a little bit of a sex wee when I heard about this...
Thracian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 He's better. Weso 0 goals. King 1 goal. Clem 2 goals, most GOALSCORING assists in the team. I love that. Count Clemence's cup goal but ignore Weso's! Wesolowski has scored one goal in 13 matches due to his absence through injury while Clemence has scored twice in 23. Big difference! King has scored once in 5, the best average of all. Even better considering he was barely allowed into the attacking half in his first two or three games.

And that's fine if he's the best alternative. But so far he's not looked it to me. Championship football requires a SQUAD. Prior to January, we had 3 recognised central midfielders in the 1st team squad. Two of them are young lads, one of which makes Darren Anderton's appearance record look spectacular. Wouldn't it be a good idea to invest in another central midfielder or two? Or should we just stick with Weso & King and when one of them (probably Weso) gets injured, just stick a right back in there to replace him?! Or maybe we should get it so our squad has decent cover in all positions. Weso & King will still get chances even with Oakley arriving. It'll also help their development by having someone of Oakley's experience to learn from.
