STUHILL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Oh god, my clicking fingers are starting to cramp up after hitting refresh, that hasn't happened since the whole Milan takeover will he, won't he!!
James. Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 OAKLEY Oakley set for Leicester switch Derby County midfielder Matt Oakley is in talks with Leicester City over a transfer to the Championship outfit. The Foxes have tabled an offer of £500,000 for the former Southampton midfielder, which Derby have accepted. Thirty-year-old Oakley was a key member of Billy Davies' promotion-winning side last season. The former Derby captain would be the second player to leave the Rams for Leicester with Ian Holloway also signing Steve Howard recently.
The People's Hero Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Now let's offer Luton a derisory amount with a couple of add ons for Matt Spring and we're sorted in the middle. Weso can grow some proper bones/fu ck off.
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm just waiting for Thracian to come on here and claim that's he's not even excited one little bit. We've signed plenty of midfielders in the past 4 years and hardly any have done the job. From what was being said down at The Walkers on Tuesday, they are getting sick of it and signing yet more players won't help either. Andy King or bust.
teblin Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I work and live in derbyshire. talking too the lads in the office he has been the best player for them the season only hime a myers have looked like prem players. they were disapointed they lost howard, but gutted that they may lose oakley too.
Kent Fox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 It's on BBC, Now it's on Sky, I am actually starting to cheer up a bit! It's quite frightening....
LeeCovFox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I have to ask the question, but I will do so in a hushed voice.....Are we starting to look like a good team......?
MC Prussian Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I work and live in derbyshire.talking too the lads in the office he has been the best player for them the season only hime a myers have looked like prem players. they were disapointed they lost howard, but gutted that they may lose oakley too. Well, IF we can turn things around (and Derby doesn't ), we'll have two more opportunities to say hello to each other next season...
STUHILL Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Ok so what does this mean about Osbourne, i really think this has been completely last minute and Holloway would not have loaned Osbourne if he knew getting Oakley, I still think would be good on months loan but maybe be better to get a winger on loan instead now!!???
The Reverend Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Right, im off for a few hours. If this deal is nearing completion by the time i get back, then to quote Tevez, i'll jizz....
Master Fox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm just waiting for Thracian to come on here and claim that's he's not even excited one little bit. We've signed plenty of midfielders in the past 4 years and hardly any have done the job. From what was being said down at The Walkers on Tuesday, they are getting sick of it and signing yet more players won't help either. Andy King or bust. To be fair I’m not excited by this one bit. When we win back to back games, then I’ll be a little happier about the situation. If he's as good as people on here think is then achieving that shouldn't be a problem. Until then I'm still pondering going to support my true home town club QPR or Man Utd.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 my favourite player! oh my god! we have a midfield if he signs! Zsolt Clemence Oakley Gabor Wesolowski aswell and osbourne! we have options
foxad Posted 11 January 2008 Author Posted 11 January 2008 I think (if he signs) this will spark clemence into life too. He's had alot of pressure on him this season often being the only capable central midfielder. With oakley next to him i think the pressure will be off him slightly and he will be able to show us what he's really capable of. These pair could form one of the strongest central midfield partnerships in the league.
mancunianfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm not pleased that this is all over the internet. If QPR come in with a late bid I'm going to be mega-p*ssed
Mort Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I have to ask the question, but I will do so in a hushed voice.....Are we starting to look like a good team......? Shhh... it's Leicester City, "Where even good players go Crap"... But things might be looking up with this going through, we could have the foundations of a decent side... to be honest these (Howard, Oakley, Alnwick) are the caliber of players i thought we'd see comming in during the summer (only DJ, N'Gotty and Clem really stood out in the end), so yeah things are looking up!

Dr The Singh Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm not pleased that this is all over the internet. If QPR come in with a late bid I'm going to be mega-p*ssed I think Derby have notified the press, let's hope the deal is done before we are guzzumped!!
Shit_arse Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Ok so what does this mean about Osbourne, i really think this has been completely last minute and Holloway would not have loaned Osbourne if he knew getting Oakley, I still think would be good on months loan but maybe be better to get a winger on loan instead now!!??? Osbourne can play on the wing as well can't he ? by the sounds of what Holloway was saying about Gori the hungarian he won't play for a few weeks, and will need some time to settle in.
gosfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Anyway..... who's this Pu Bliclise.....????? another Hungarian????
Ric Flair Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm not pleased that this is all over the internet. If QPR come in with a late bid I'm going to be mega-p*ssed Qpr have signed about 7 central midfielders in the past 2 weeks, plus Oakley once called them Queers Park Rangers so he won't be going to them.
lildave3 Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Excellent news, good midfielder, chips in with a few goals. Lovely.
mancunianfox Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 Alnwick Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo Mattock Bori Oakley Clemence Lazcko Campbell Howard Henderson, Mcauley, Wesolowski, Hayles, Hume If the Hungarians turn out to be good buys thats easily a top six championship side.

Trouble is, I felt like this in August too....
Alexikokopops Posted 11 January 2008 Posted 11 January 2008 I'm not pleased that this is all over the internet. If QPR come in with a late bid I'm going to be mega-p*ssed Hopefully the geographical closeness and ease of move will be a big factor.
