MC Prussian Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Just me who hasn't got a clue who he is then?I'm sure those who actually knew him are probably saddened over this news but I fail to see where all the mock-shock on the forum is coming from. It's not the blokes you should be worried about. There will be mass gatherings by loyal female Ledger fans throughout the world in the upcoming few days and weeks. He's their Knight In Shining Armour, after all. EDIT: I stopped counting the RIP threads on his imdb.com profile - reaches back to like 70 pages or even more...
General Smuts Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 It only makes his portrayal of The Joker even more harrowin and disturbing.

Tommy G Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Shocking News the weird thing is that he was only talking about his fear of death a few months back Spooky
andyh1884 Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Shocking Newsthe weird thing is that he was only talking about his fear of death a few months back Spooky Bit of a change of heart then from this quote from him: "Having a child changes every aspect of your life -- for the better, of course. The sacrifices are large, but what you get in return is even bigger than the sacrifices you make. I feel, in a sense, ready to die because you are living on in your child," Ledger told In Touch Weekly in November. From this story about his death Doesn't sound particularly fearful. I feel sorry for his daughter, at 2 I doubt she'll understand where Daddy's gone. Wouldn't like to be the one to have to explain to her that 'Daddy's topped himself' if indeed he did. I heard a report this morning that it could've been an accidental overdose. How exactly does that work? How do you accidently swallow enough pills to kill yourself?

Im sure he did have a fear of death. Perhaps it was a few yeaars back. And the ''accidental overdose'' doesnt rub with me...
MC Prussian Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 He stated that the shooting for the new "Batman" was a very tiresome, exhausting experience and that the role of the Joker kept creeping back on him on a regular basis. He said that he had never played such a malevolant, vicious and heartless character before and that it affected his sleeping pattern. Apparently, he couldn't sleep for more than two hours straight - "my body was ready to go to bed, but my mind still kept going on". Apart from the crack rumours, he started taking more and more pills to counter his sleeplessness. "Accidental overdose" could very well be the only truth.
Webbo Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 He bummed Jake Gyllican'tspellhisname in Brokeback Mountain. Oh him, the good looking one. No never heard of him.

TBH I can't recall seeing or remembering what films he was in. But I'm sure he had a bright future ahead of him and will be missed by many. R.I.P

I heard a report this morning that it could've been an accidental overdose. How exactly does that work? How do you accidently swallow enough pills to kill yourself? i guess you push it close to the edge wantin the bigger thrill or the better sleep ( he apparently had taken sleping pills).. not everyone tolerates the same amount of substances in their body, though. Just need to be down town on a saturday night to know that...

Jon the Hat Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Very sad news this. He grew up in Perth as did my wife, and his Mum lived round the corner from our home a couple of years back. Being a relatively small city they are all very proud of their Hollywood star. Apparently Heath spent a few weeks there over Christmas relaxing with his family. Makes this all seem very strange, and they are clearly convonced this was an accident. RIP.
MikeyT Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Im sure he did have a fear of death. Perhaps it was a few yeaars back. And the ''accidental overdose'' doesnt rub with me... He was apparently on a concoction of 6 prescription drugs, 3 of them being sleeping pills, anti-anxiety tablets and an anti-histamine, so i'm guessing if he took a mixture of those plus the other 3 then that would explain "accidental overdose". http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5iU...X65zAluL1TOXRIQ
