Its pretty blatant that Hume tries more...

Hes our top scorer... What more do you want?

just cause he scores more that means he tries harder. get your head out of humes arse and see the light!!!!

The same could be said with you and Stearman.

I thought this was a thread about Hume ?

Have you ever seen them play?

Its pretty apparent how Stearman is at fault persistently, and although he has potential, he hasnt shown it lately.

Can you honestly say Stearman has played better than Hume this season?

if hume is overrarted why is Ollie still playing him

.... because he does better than the other tossers we have right now

Ollie hasnt bought any strikers to replace hume because he doesnt need to

you could apply that to a lot of people on here.

Hume is decent and tries his heart out. Its safe to say that people do view him through rose tinted glasses sometimes

I partially agree with you. I like Hume but it sends me crazy when we get 'HUUUUUUUUUUUUUMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!' after every p*ssing shot he spoons. Yes, maybe he did beat a player or two but FFS it's about end product.

And Stearman is sh*te.

Why is it that everyone seems to love IAN HUME?

i'm just wondering if everyone does rate him or not?

Every week stearman even though he plays with passion for the club and gives 110% every game gets jeered and slated none stop but then you've got hume that yet again tries 110% every game usually doesn't score and gets a BIG cheer everytime he touches the ball! even when he has had crap games.

i just wanna know why this is. i think he's an ok player for us, not our best but what he lacks in skill he makes up in determination. same with fryatt fans still love him, reckon he's the best finisher in the club ("give him half a chance and he'll score") but to me he usually looks like he can never be arsed to put 110% effort in!! and the amount of "HALF CHANCES" i've seen him have this year and easier ones he's fluffed.

so why is it fans like some than others even though there no better and give 110% every game!!!!!!!!!!

The way i see it is Hume would look a decent player in any other championship side, i agree to a certian extent he probably over elaberates and should score more but we should build a side round him not knock him, he always gives 100% and is a lot bette than a lot of the rubbish in this league.

Much attacking of Stearman is down to people wanting Chambers. It's like wanting to change the wallpaper, the three-piece suite, or even the girlfriend. If it's new and on offer people want to try it. See if it's any better. :D

No, I think you'll find a lot of it is down to Stearman being a bag of shit.

Oh, and I'm loving the analogy.

a) Top scorer for 1.5 seasons.

b) Virtually always fit to play.

c) 100% effort when he does play even when the game is lost.

d) Versatility. He's moved around from pillar to post to accommodate people who are more limited positionally.

e) Closes people down with real enthusiasm.

f) Makes headers he has no right to through his sheer determination.

g) Because you know that if we had 11 with his attitude we would never be near the foot of the table.

h) He tries to makes the best of his ability. Some can't even keep themselves properly fit.

Good post was expecting sarcasim tho

He can be frustrating at times, doing silly turns in the wrong areas.

But over the last 2 years he has been one of the best players, along with Kisnorbo.

Even though holloway says he doesn't like it i think he has all the attribute to become a very good right sided player in this league.

I don't get why people have a stick up thier arse about Hume.

Cracking little player who gives nothing short of everything whilst on the pitch.

He does have his odd bad game but no where near as many as the rest of them have had this season.

And for that reason its why people love him.

Because he trys hard and shows some sort of passion.

You've read my mind, that's why everyone rates Ian Hume.

Hume is a good player who has a knack of scoring quality goals and works hard for the team. Its as simple as. He is not world class and is Championship class but like most non-world class players needs quality around him to get the best out of him but still, with that said, is one of the few players who has shone over the last 2 years of shite.

How he can be criticized when so many players have come and gone and done nothing and he is still doing OK despite playing in midfield and being apired with about ten strikers over those months is beyond me.

Posted
how the f**k can you say hume tries more and is more loyal to the club when stearman is the longest serving player at the club at the mo TIT! and they both try just as hard each game twat. :frusty::@

thats what the whole point is and you've just proved how people dislike stearman for no reason. FOOL

fans like you that get up my nose. if stearman scores next game you'll love him. FICKLE springs to mind :giggle:

You will never win arguments by resorting to abuse. Better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all reasonable doubt!

The debate here does not, to my mind, centre around whether or not Hume is any good. It revolves around the issue of whether or not he is overrated. I think he's a good player but he is overrated by many Leicester fans, who praise him every week for performances that are often standard or below par. Nothing irks me more than the chorus of 'HUUUUUUUME' which inevitably occurs when he does anything, be it score a twenty-five yard screamer or slice a cross behind with two men free at the back post. All I'm saying is that it should not be one rule for some (like Stearman) and another rule for others (like Hume).

Some of the best players in the world have been overrated. I remember when Henry was in his pomp, commentators and fans alike would be going out of their way to praise him, even if he had a poor game. It's a case of the 'Emperor's New Clothes'. Everybody goes along with the Hume-love because they're unwilling to see what's in front of them. A good, but ultimately, overrated player.

I missed the irony behind the booing earlier in the season - maybe people are cheering Hume ironically too?:D

Every team needs a terrace hero and whilst at times it may be overdone with Hume, name one player over the last few years that has captured our hearts on the pitch like a Walsh, Targgart, Izzet etc etc??

Works hard, scores great goals in a shite side so deserves some praise but we are realistic enough to know he isnt the next Ronaldo.

This thread is embarrassing.

Agreed  Don't see why people on here are always having a pop about players. If we just got behind the players even if they aren't playing well then they might perform abit better.

The only time the "huuuume" thing winds me up is when someone else does all the haard work and he hits a crap shot, but get credit for it. thats not his fault though.
