Nationwider Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 The fall of a once great player and manager will be excruciating to watch.... Keegan on his input in the Wise selection... I am reluctant to tell you all I know as I really do not know anything. I just do not know enough about it so it is pointless me saying something or sitting down and saying to you this wasn't quite right or that wasn't quite right. I just want to focus on the game with Arsenal. Unnamed, on the Keegan tactical blueprint against Arsenal... The players were waiting for Kevin to give his instructions but all he said was: 'Arsenal are a great passing team. We must make sure we pass the ball better than them.' King Kev on Shola as the new Adebayor... If you look at Adebayor, what I would say to Shola Ameobi is what I saw of Adebayor a year and a half ago when he first came on to the scene is what I saw of Ameobi when he first came on to the scene. That guy has kicked on and Shola has had injuries and other little problems, I guess, but he is 26 now and I don't think it is too late. Wor Kev on the "pick a job, any job" coaching structure at Toon... We will see what happens on Monday. It will not be as number two, I will tell you that. It will not be, and that's the conclusion we both came to. But it will be, if he [shearer] decides to come in, a very worthwhile role.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Den yet again proves he is out for number one.
davieG Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Den yet again proves he is out for number one. Makes you want to shake his hand
breadandcheese Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Wise has bottled it. Without Poyet, their results have trailed off and I wonder if he's starting to doubt Leed's promotion credentials. Run now to keep your reputation. Nice one you little poision dwarf.
Wycombe Fox Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Surely it'll be Newcastle that get the compensation for this move!
Thracian Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Keegan didn't sound very expansive about it! Strange appointment.
purpleronnie Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Apparantly he will be paid 4 times his salary at leeds.
AyewJoking Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Good luck Wisey! He deserves a top job in football. Keep trying mate and you'll get there one day.
Zingari Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 i wish i was a mole on the wall listening to KKs thoughts on this
Ultra Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 Makes you want to shake his hand I'd sooner shake his throat.. As I imagine most Leeds fans will want to do. He really has left them deep in the poo. They might even struggle to reach the playoffs now...
surrifox Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 don't dislike NUFC but it's important for us footy fans to have an object of ridicule as it distracts from our own underachieving situation. Watching a loathsome character like w****r wise contributing to the pantomime that is Newcastle is just too good to be true
Tommy G Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 The sick thing is, I bet he's on an abserloute packet!!
sdb Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 it's so bizzare. i was expecting a blip at leeds around this time so i'm quite annoyed he escaped that. his reputation has probably been enhanced with the whole -15 points thing, even though he got them relegated! can't stand him!!

I think that's they're record anyway.
Blue Bob Posted 29 January 2008 Posted 29 January 2008 What very strange appointment. According to the BBC site, it says he was appointed to help with recruitment and to give the board someone with football knowledge at board level. Wise has no experience of recruiting players at a high level, Newcastle might be looking to spend £10 million on a player, Wise top spend can only be about £500k. As for football knowledge, sure he played at a high level but he is still wet behind the ears at football management. I doubt their is little he could teach the likes of Keegan. Is he being groomed to be the next manager? That is scary!!!
surrifox Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Dennis Wise - weasel faced arse or arse faced weasel- the jury remains out
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Is anyone else really pissed off that has moved to Newcastle in whatever role it is. I was fine with at Leeds, i hated Leeds, I hated and i could combine my hatered for the two in one easy package. But now is at the toon with King Kev - who i like to like, and it's put me in a confusing situation! What to do. Clearly signing a couple of Leicester players on loan showed the Newcastle board that is the bear for them to find new talent - Hammond to Newcastle shocker - you heard it here first!

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Nookie Bear picture - any clearer with you?
Asha Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Nookie Bear picture - any clearer with you? Yes. Denise Wise? I think its more funny as Dennis. Dennis always gives me the image of a little rascal running around stepping in Mr Wilson's flowerbeds. And it won't last. There will be tears somewhere.
