STUHILL Posted 31 January 2008 Posted 31 January 2008 We needed a solid LB to come in as cover, Clapham may not be one for the future, but we have that in Mattock and so I'm pretty happy with it. He will take some of the pressure of Mattock i'm sure. If it doesn't work out then we just let him go in Summer. I like Ollies thinking on this one. Just hope Whaley rumour is true!!

I cant see it going beyond this season though but I`d rather have some experience for Mattock to learn from instead of Shush! who is equally inexperienced.

That suggests to me that Ollie doesnt really think that Clapham has a future here, he just feels that we need another left back and the fact that we've waited til the final day to bring him in suggests that we've been unable to get other targets.

Wolves couldn't wait to see the back of him. It'll be interesting to see what the situation with Shush! will end like. But Clapham. Not impressed. good sensible comments

Norris has gone to ipswich so im sure ollie will be in hunt for another midfielder tonight. We have been linked to simon whaley which would be a good signing. Also, on SSN its says that charlton are after Lee Cook of fulham, i would love him to come here he is 25 and a cracking winger also, he played at QPR with holloway so im sure Ollie would be keen.

This transfer window is pissing me off abit, SURELY we need cover for the hungarians? if both get injured, if both go off the boil we are practically fudged again and will have Fryatt and Hume on the wings! Lee Cook goes Charlton And we end up with a 32 year old left back who has to prove himself to earn a longer deal? We have zero cover on the wings!!! Come on MM and Ollie get something sorted! you got till 11:59pm and 59 seconds! WE NEED COVER!!!!

Nah seriously cover is cover i guess, still not impressed with the signing..but i'm praying we get at least one winger tonight, two would be heaven, because we can't rely on the Hungarians i mean one isn't fully fit anyhow! I think it's almost been proven, balance to the squad has produced better results, we can't afford to go playing everyone outta poistion again!
