Jimmy Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Six Scholars Offered TermsPosted on: Mon 18 Feb 2008 The Youth Academy has so far rewarded six Scholars with contracts for next season. Thomas Parkes, Ben Milne, Jorrin John, Elliott Chamberlain, Nathan Hicks and Claudiu Hoban have all been offered terms for 2008/09 after impressing recently. Academy Manager Jon Rudkin said: "Congratulations should go out to these boys but the hard work continues as they look to continue their progression through the football club. "But as in previous years, our recruitment policy shows that if the youngsters put the required work in then this football club is not afraid to award players from the nine to 16s ranks. "It's a very exciting opportunity for these boys and we wish them all good luck." http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1244038,00.html
Bert Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 More to be awarded i think. "The Youth Academy has so far rewarded six Scholars with contracts for next season."
Father Ted Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 There's that Jorrin John everyone has been talking about. And i'm sure Elliot Chamberlain played for the academy against MK Dons? And Claudiu Hoban, what a name! Sounds very... cool! A bit like Sergio Hellings
Joe. Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Our club hates youth players so this lot aren't going to get a chance. Allegedly.
Mark Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 What nationality is this Hobo character? I'll have a guess at Romanian.
The Stig Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I wonder how long it is before someone says they should be put in the team along with Max Gradel!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I've seen a couple of them play for the under 16s. Jorrin John and Claudiu Hoban stood out on those occasions although this Chamberlain lad seems to be progressing quickly. Only seen him briefly though.
Sods Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Chamberlain was alright against palace. Sat next to his family who got very exicited, im sure they are very proud. Good luck to them all.
DB11 Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I'll have a guess at Romanian. And I'll guess Polish regardless of the name cos that's what most people are nowadays in Leicester
lildave3 Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I wonder how long it is before someone says they should be put in the team along with Max Gradel! Not long. Jorrin John in. It's not allowed? Who cares.
Thracian Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I wonder how long it is before someone says they should be put in the team along with Max Gradel! If you don't rate Max Gradel just say so.
ronnup Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 And I'll guess Polish regardless of the name cos that's what most people are nowadays in Leicester And? Is there a problem with that?
General Smuts Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Chamberlain was in the reserve squad tonight. And he's on the new football manager patch alongside JJ
Cat Burger Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 And I'll guess Polish regardless of the name cos that's what most people are nowadays in Leicester Yeah, I'm Polish these days. Used to be Asian then they went all unfashionable.
Ric Flair Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 My guess is he's Portuguese, i'm sure we've got one in our Academy at some age or other.
Dr The Singh Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 Yeah, I'm Polish these days. Used to be Asian then they went all unfashionable. Singh's never go out of fashion!!! <_<
Tommy G Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 And I'll guess Polish regardless of the name cos that's what most people are nowadays in Leicester Slightly borderline 'racist' but Im with you there. Theres some polish geezers that attend my gym, I tried to ask them a question once but they could barely speak a word of english unfortunately.

I sometimes pretend to be Polish if a stranger I don't like the look of approaches me.
Uncle Albert Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 I sometimes pretend to be Polish if a stranger I don't like the look of approaches me. I am more Serbian when i don't like the look of people. Harsh but fair.
The Stig Posted 19 February 2008 Posted 19 February 2008 If you don't rate Max Gradel just say so. Bloody hell! You do get defensive with your reserve team players don't you! I think Max Gradel is a great prospect for the club, I was simply saying a lot of people want him in the team and it probably won't be long until people want these guys in the team as well.

I wonder if you'd be that bold if you were talking about Pakistanis or Indian people?
