RowlattsFox Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Leicester City have been fined £3,000 by the Football Association for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion. The charge related to City's 3-1 defeat at Ipswich on 11 December and they were also warned as to their future conduct. Leicester's players had angrily appealed against a first-half red card shown to defender Patrick Kisnorbo, who also conceded a penalty in the process. However, the Australian's red card was later rescinded by the FA.
Simi Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Don't see how we can be fined for something that has been proved wrong? I know it's wrong, but it was a god awful decsion. You're going to get that reaction.
Nath Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 What a joke. We argued, because we thought the decision was wrong. The decision was proven to be wrong, so we are fined. Go fine fooking Man Utd for all there cheating, diving & 'failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion' Asif the fooking would.
Corky Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 So why weren't the referee, and the linesman, fined for their appalling decisions? What a complete farce. Players are supposed to sit back and say "well, that's life" are they?
blue blood Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
DB11 Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 There were hardly any players that confronted the Referee.
Thracian Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Appalling decision. Our club gets fined for the actions of its players while the FA benefits from the trouble caused by its referee. Does the FA pay extra for refs that cause enough reactionary anger as to enable them to impose a fine? No wonder we have players sent off and goals disallowed for nothing. And no wonder the FA won't introduce the technology that would put an end to most controversies. It's virtually legalised extortion. What do they expect players to do when they're effectively cheated of a player or a goal? Waltz around as if they don't give a shit. Oh yes, the fans would love that.
Stinkenzo Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Go fine fooking Man Utd for all there cheating, diving & 'failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion'Asif the fooking would. Er, Man Utd did actually get fined a few weeks back as 7 of their players got booked against Spurs.
C-man Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Good point Thracian. It's pathetic. The F.A. keep sinking lower and lower. The only thing that could make them worse is if they agree to GAM£ 39. I hope the £3,000 goes into grassroots football... ... will it fook, it's going straight into Capello's pocket.
Jonezy Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 First we lose points because of crappy refs, and now they take our money too...... We are getting bullied by the FA....
Sods Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Well i hope other teams get the same treatment then. The Chelseas, Liverpools, Man Uniteds and the Arsenals of todays would.
Father Ted Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Absolute Bullsh*t, the FA really do hate us. Why didn't Russell get a longer ban for starting a brawl. Why wasn't Gallas done for a clear assault on Nani. What about Barton on Maloney? Seriously, the FA needs to get fined themselves. And saying that we have been warned about future conduct - I say \/ to the FA.
FilboFox Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 The FA is a joke... At least it was only 3k... not much really...
act smiley Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 I suspect they've deliberately made it small change because the ref's mistake was the cause of it, but if you act like an idiot you have to accept the concequences regardless of whether there was a reason for it. Just a pity they don't have the balls to come down hard on the big clubs like they should.
potter3 Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 The FA is a joke...At least it was only 3k... not much really... Still more than what Leeds got fot having an ineligible player/ too many loan players in their squad.
Staf Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 What a load of rubbish surely when the red card was rescinded the fa could see what we were complaining at and we had a valid point
MikeyT Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 What a load of rubbish surely when the red card was rescinded the fa could see what we were complaining at and we had a valid point Exactly! But lets face it, a bunch of overweight middleaged assholes in suits somewhere couldnt care less about the FACTS!!! They just see £ signs!!
Royston. Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 So why weren't the referee, and the linesman, fined for their appalling decisions? What a complete farce. Players are supposed to sit back and say "well, that's life" are they? Yes. The referee's decision however ludicrous is final. Mind you, at least the players showed a bit of passion.
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 Was pretty pissed off when I read this in the news this morning as I remember watching the card in the highlights. Let's just say if I had've been on the pitch that day the reaction would have been a lot worse than 'disbelief' and 'protest' £3000? Get fooked, FFA.
Nod.E Posted 21 February 2008 Posted 21 February 2008 And I wonder how much the ref got fined? The one who made the error in the first place... These things must work two ways.
